Well i finaly decided at midday saturday after finding out we wernt shearing sunday to go racing.
First thing to do was panic:whistle:as the bike was still in pieces after putting a new shock in the rear cos i feeked the other one last time out and had changed the oil on the front forks.
Back together with no parts spare:woohoo:and loaded on the trailor just in time to go out for tea:sweatdrop.
got home from tea and loaded gear into truck and off to bed at midnight.
Got bugger all sleep and up at 4am on the road at 5am.
Signed in and gear on and went out on the practice but had to come in and wind the preload on after going flying round a right hander and the pipe were the headers join scraped on the track kicking the rear off the seal witch was a little scary wobbling toward the hairpin flat out.
Race 1-good start and diced with a cbr600 and a nsr250 for the whole race with the 600 having and the 250 having the legs on the straight but could get them round the back.
best lap time 1.24 witch is my equal pb so was happy.

Race 2-good start and diced with the 600 again but the nsr with slicks on got a bit ahead finnished with a 1.23 wow anouther PB stocked.

Race3-fucked the start up but not to worry was up with the nsr and 600 and diced with the 600 again with the nsr just ahead untill the end of the race but the 600 just powers away on the straights so cant beat him to the line:angry2: got into the pits to find 2 laps of 1.21 eack Pb again.

Now just to clarify about the times -yes some would say there slow:yawn:but im a fat bugger on a little ol 400 so it does pretty good and im havin fun.

Anyway had a ball and stayed upright although the exaust scrape episode did stay with me but im slowly getting my corner speed up and breaking later into the corners.

Back home by 9pm absolutly buggered but happy so bring on the burt unless i decide to have a play in the endurance race on the 25 oct.:woohoo:

Solid effort on taking that much time off your PB mate, if you could do that much again next time you will be fair flying!!

I should get my uncle to have a read of this cos he was the guy on the 600 you were dicin with

As for the endurance race as far as i know there is two 40 minute races-one for 1minute 10 secs and faster and one for over that time but dont quote me on that but that was how it was explaned to me.

Small world as i was talking to him on the dummy grid and asked him were he worked/lived and it turns out he works with a mate of me and my partner and his wife is going to be the bridesmaid at our wedding.

Dunno about taking anouther 3 seconds off next time as i think i need more power but am thinking of taking the rotor off to get quicker revs so might try that lol

Go the mighty 400. Great to read of some South Island exploits and good luck with carving some more seconds off.
