Make sure your bikes are secure mate.....stayed there while i was away with work and two of our utes got broken into.....a few of Taupo's finest drink at that pub there

its easier when your a nigel no mates! you dont have to convince anyone else that your chosen location is a goodie!!

theres plenty of side roads both sides of taupo into the forest that are nice and quiet! or for ultimate cheapo-ness you could go and park in the de-bretts thermal resort car park. then you have easy access to the hot pools!
