I have had a very tumultuous few years, my wife of 25 years and I broke up and legaly seperated about a year or so ago...
but even befor that "legal" brake up, i didn't live at home anymore anyway for quite lengthy periods.
As a sailor I was away at sea at least for half my life anyhow, and the other half I spend living with a mate in bachelors bliss....
However, life is what happens while you make different plans.....
When I get off this trip, I will be moving into a new "Home".....finaly.....
After having been completely displaced for so long, it is a very exciting new prospect....
My bikes were sometimes locked in a container, sometimes at my mate.
Some gear is at his place, some in an old caravan, some in the back of my landrover etc....but most stuff i have simply left behind for my ex.
Al I had was my bikes and vehicle....
Now I will have a place again to go home to...a place to direct my mail to....a place where my bikes will live in their own little workshop....
A place my friends could come and visit.
But most importantly is a place I will share on equal terms with the lady of my dreams.....
Life never looked this good....
For the first time in a long time I can't wait to get off....
And go home...

My updated contact details are on my homepage for those on my list,
and I hope I will see you there for a cup or a coppa when you happen to be in the area....
Always room to park and fix a bike, always a spare bed or 2....

Good stuff bikes are so much happier when they have a place too call home..

being a sailor myself I know what its like been there...and now restricted to coastal for the next 2 years at least,

just like the sea calls out to a sailor the open road calls out to a biker, bloody good too mix the two equal time on/off is bloody brillient:woohoo:

Life is a funny thing sometimes. We go along reasonably happily and then everything changes.

Home is very special, sounds like you may have found yours! All the best mate!

Good on you, it takes time to get onto your feet after a break up but sometimes its well worth it.
