What size top box are you using for touring on your maxi scoot ?
I presume Givi is the best brand ?
What models are people using, and how have you found them ?
And yes ..... I'm looking at a Burg 400, and want to know what works and fits best ?
Thanks.

They do their own colour coded one which looks better than a Givi.
The Givi is good, 'cos you can ride to the airport and put it on the plane.

Ok ... so they do a Suzuki one that is designed for a Burgman ? Is that what you are meaning ?
I was just wondering what size fits the 400 best. A Givi V46 (46 litres) and there is a 52 litre model. Not sure of the actual dimensions, but something like about .5m wide, .4 long, .35 high.

Hey man, how's that Yoshi system working out for you? Have you got the Power Commander in yet?

I wonder what it looks like on a 400 ? The 650 you have is quite a bit bigger. A v-46 might look over the top on the 400 .... ???
Great amount of room though, combined with the underseat space .... ideal for short tours I would think.

V46 doesn't look too big on a 400. Looks spot on. The bracket isn't visible with the box on either. The plastic bit on the back of the bike already has the holes marked to drill too.

Thanks for that info Dave. So doesn't it require any mounting kit then ?
Is the mounting strong ? I want to use it to load up with gear when I tour. Nice to have two large spaces to be able to use. I don't think I would need anything else for touring solo, and it makes it relatively safe to lock and leave if you are on foot or taking a break somewhere. Not having to worry if you pack is going to get ripped off .... which has been a bit of a worry when touring on some of my other bikes, will be good.
I think I've pretty much talked myself into getting a new "08" 400.
I am sure it will fit me well.

It needs a fitting kit. They're about $100, IIRC. It's not all that visible with the box on. Looks neat.
Ours, with the underseat cavern, would hold our weekly shop at crap 'n' save - for two of us.
