Three vids on how Alpinestars manufactures rider gear. I found it interesting to what extent science and research play a part till the end product comes to us as consumers to buy. I think if they have this kind of videos in the bike shops, we will see the sales of higher spec protection gear increase :)

Enjoy.

I wonder what kind of technology goes into Dainese gear then.........it always seems extremely expensive....

The technology is actually pretty similar. There was a documentary on the BBC motoGP on how they make gear and how the valentino rossi gear is 100% identical to what you can get in the shop, except it is custom mearured and cut.

And it just keeps getting better!
Those vids are a few years old now, and most of that gear has been replaced with newer models which include even better technology.
What an age we live in!

Yeah it will be interesting to see how much better riding apparel can get. We keep saying it every year with bikes and how they keep getting better. But the riding gear is in the same boat.
