View Full Version : Too tired to get dressed?

In the supermarket this morning - about 8.00am. Come round the corner of an aisle and there's a woman, about 30-ish, holding her housecoat closed over nightie, bare footed, picking items off the shelf...
This is not the first time I have seen this in the last coupla years. But I fail to understand why it is so hard to put some day clothes on before you venture out to the shop...
Am I missing something of significance here? Perhaps the vagaries of fashion have bypassed my decaying brain...
No - she wasn't hot boys, not at all.

Don't knock it if you haven't tried it.
Having said that, only good looking females should be allowed this attire exception.

After three days on the P and a huge doobie or two to try come back down to earth one does tend to get the munchies.
I bet it wasn't baking powder and onions she was buying...!

Was it this lady perchance?
I got my bobby buffed by her in Countdown last week for only $10.50 excl GST and lubricant....
She was shopping for a hairnet by the way....oh, and some kitchen cleaner

You should check out Papakura in Auckland Slofox. That woman you saw would be considered over dressed here. Security guards would've told her to put some sort of mudpack on her face and curlers in her hair.
Also, Whangarei is the nations most barefooted city. I swear they have been genetically endowed with thicker soles.

It's a kiwi thing... and and not a bad thing, people not giving a fuck what others think. In Europe chicks won't venture outside without getting all dolled up 1st... n that aint a bad thing either ;)

Yeah but it's different when a hot chick does it. Where do you shop btw?:innocent:

Agreed... I'm a German/Pom and when I first came to this country, I have to say I was truely shocked...
People walking round the streets in bare feet! Such a thing just doesn't happen in England.
And then when I saw a woman in her pajama's I just had to laugh at the ridiculousness of it all, but it wasn't the last time I was to see it! I see 'em all over the place.
Never done it myself.. never intend to.. if i'm too tired to put clothes on, i'm not going anywhere.

Nah...s'all boxers and t-shirts innit? Pull on the jeans, slip on the jandals and away.
Scratch that, chances of getting me through the front door before a bit o' brekkie and a cuppa? Zip, zilcha, zero, naaadaaa. I don't even go out for breakfast without having breakfast first...

A wee while ago I was on the bike and I passed some little old lady in her dressing gown putting the rubbish bag out on the side of the road...so, just to give her a thrill, I honked the horn and yelled "WOO HOOOO!!!" at her...
From her reaction, I dunno whether she wanted to kill me or drag me inside for a quickie...but I hit the gas anyway - wasn't sure which would have been worse...

Over here in Westie-Land I often see young women in hoodie, pyjama pants and ugg boots heading into the local take-aways.
Unfortunately they are far from hot. Their choice of clothing seems to be a direct reflection of how much pride they take in their appearance. The greasy, matted hair hanging out from under the hoodie is another clue.
I try not to be too judgemental about the whole thing. After all, my Grandmother used to put on a hat and gloves before she would leave her front gate, and my mother wouldn't dream of going to the local store without at least combing her hair, applying some lipstick and changing out of her 'house-shoes' into something more appropriate. Times have changed and I'm glad of it... but you still won't see me out in public in my nightie!
