Hi Scrivy,
DO you know if the Tri series 600's are being run under F2 or 600 sports production Rules? Last year it was F2 but noticed it is listed on Program as 600sp.
Just need to order tyres shortly
Thanks

Ok here is abit more info. 11 race bikes are coming in a container from Queensland, 5 supermotos, 1 600, 1 sidecar & 4 superbikes so that will boost the the international feilds. Also Stacey Stellar (sidecars) & Gareth Jones are also returning for the tri series, & hopefully another top Aussie superbike rider will soon be signed up. Entries are coming in for all 3 rounds & remember only 34 spaces are available for the supermotos, due to the 5 aussies & ex pat kiwi Darryl Atkins who is also returning, so get in early or you might miss out. Taupo already has 120 bikes entered, inc 18 for the endurance. more info will follow.

totally agree. I am not a motard fan at all - BUT D.A coming down the main straight at Wanganui last year and rear end sliding it into corner one from HALF WAY DOWN the straight was just UNBELIEVABLE...

Is it likely that there is going to be decent TV coverage of this series. I sure hope so, it sounds like there is gonna be some good racing.

Joel Reed was doin' well for a first timer. Great to see him comin' back and it says a lot about the series.

Hey quick question about manfield, what section is the short course e.g. what section will the motards be racing?

I havent been there before and im wondering if it is the small section way over the back or the other bit and the bigger bikes combine both sections?
cheers

Hi Mate,
pit with me I'm an old hand (well I'm old and I've done it once before :) ). Scrutineering is on Xmas day, or EARLY boxing day "by special arrangement" If you can get hold of a generator bring it. I have a generator (5 HP 2500w) but not sure if it will run two sets of tyre warmers (if it only runs one set do you want warm the front or the rear ? ) I'm pretty sure it will cope I have tested it with one set of warmers and the electric jug
I am going up xmas day sign in scrutineering etc. and set up pit and sleep in the van.

I don't have an pit tent but I do have a couple of sun umbrella's .

Bring sunblock and speights old dark :)

It is a very cool meeting, I did it last year on the Hornet, pretty much only used 2nd gear ( about 50 -100 meters of 3rd on start-finish straight maybe ) It looks much scarier from the side of the track. It is pretty much point and squirt and the option to run straight ahead at the four main turns. The s's throught the cemetary are a bit interesting as even the Hornet got the front end in the air crossing the crown of the road and the bridge over the railway line is a bit scary looking, just be like me and don't go to fast. :)
Turn one is a bit hairy as the inside will be chocker and slow right up (no chance of me being first to get there :) and the outside is of course "off camber" and has slippery paint on the centerline and the road edge. ALL the road markings are as greasy as a butcher's prick. But you will love it !!!

And you will get a photo to show the grand children.

Hey you jokers, got a couple of questions from a RRS virgin.

Is there still room left in F1 for one more?

How many races per class is there normally?

And does the Wife (pitcrew) have to pay a gate fee?

Cheers guys, hoping to finally make this event.

I hope so !! When I am wandering around the pubs at the IOM TT next year, I want to be able to casually name drop and say "Oh yeah, I've been lapped by Shaun Harris in a street race"
That should be worth a free pint of Guiness
