What does everybody carry in thier stowed-on-the-bike-somewhere toolkit?
Me:
multi tool (pliers, screw drivers etc thing)
8, 10, 12 and 14mm spanners
cable ties
rubber bands
some cloth tape (duct tape, whatever)
tubeless plug kit & C02, soon as I get around to it
Anybody got any suggestions, where you've had something go ping and just thought "if only I had [...] I could limp home".
One other thing I've thought about, an old cell phone with a 2 buck 2degrees sim card and useful numbers in it, and a cut down cigarette lighter adapter with crock clips. Just in case.

An inflatable girl doll, stick it next to the bike and someone will stop. If after several hours alone and you get lonely....welllll.

I have no need of a tool kit. I ride a reliable bike. The factory put one on the bike ... but have never needed to open it.

I have a can of beer and $2 pie money. That tides me over nicely while I duct tape and cable-tie it back together again. If you need more than duct tape and cable-ties, then it's oft not worth fixing at the side of the road.

Depends on the trip and how light or heavy you like your bike....
apart from the standard toolkits on a long trip (a few days) I take a small aircompressor(very useful in helping others)
,30amp fuse,and spark plugs
probe light,
chain lube,
spare brake pads(ones I have replced and kept),
drainage siringe with hose...great for transferring brake fluid and bleeding brake and hydrolic clutches
now all this stuff fits under the pillon seat of the daytona

Don't know. Who ever used them last before me let water in and they all rusted.

I pack the standard Shiver toolkit as there is no room to pack one Allen key extra.

The normal stuff plus ..
> a dynamo powered LED torch
> a pair of latex gloves for wearing if I come across a bloody accident or for keeping hands free of grease if necessary
> a Swiss army type pocket knife
> a flattened roll of duct tape (probably 1.5metres)
> the AA call out number ( *222 I think) and my membership number

Just join the Harley Club .
They got a ute or trailer or van following and beer in the boot.
I always used to carry a few cable ties , great little fixerupperers.

I heard Harley riders always take enough tools to fix their bikes, their mates bikes and farm machinery along the way.
I ride a Ducati. If it stops there aint any point looking for a toolkit....

When I'm going racing I have a full set of kit - if I'm going "showing" I take very little - guess when I need the gear!!!!:angry2:

I pack the standard toolkit, a first aid kit, electrical tape and clear duct tape. This is in addition to a reflective vest, bike lock, hat, spare gloves, roadside assistance numbers and usually a can of RedBull if going on an extended ride.
The boot of a CBR250RR is huge!

You talking about those BIG FUCK OFF crescents that black dude carries in Armageddon, right? 'Cause those puny 36 inch ones are for pofters.
The trumpy doesn't need a tool-kit. Allen key to undo the seat to get to the screw driver. It's only bits that fall off trumpies, so you just go back and pick them up and screw them back on.
