LOL so is ours. KTM950 and LWB 90's Vitara. Almost a 3:1 ratio in terms of cost. In terms of ride comfort, fun etc etc a billion:1 :woohoo: The scary bit though is that the 950 uses almost as much juce as the Vitata, 6.5l/100km and 8l/100kms respectively. Wish the 1600 G16A Suzi motor was still available in a more modern chassis - fuel effecient and quite lively given the lump it is shifting. Hints of bike technology in there I reckon.
Cheers R

'97 Subaru Forester 2ltr Turbo manual, in black of course.
302,000 km's & the motor still runs sweet. Pity a wheel bearing & at least one CV have decided to pack it in in the last week.

03 Subaru Impreza STI (I am a boy racer at heart....) or a 1.3 Corolla that I share with my Partner (and you really notice the difference with acceleration between the two!)
The STI makes the Corolla feel gutless just like the 990 makes the DR feel gutless.
By the way the STI could be for sale if anyone is keen..

The Transalp is our car, and for everything else we have mountain bikes. Cycle to work, walk to the shops, get hardware and furniture delivered. Very rarely do either of us regret not having a car, although my last car, a Mazda MX-3 was pretty enjoyable to drive (albeit thirsty).

We're kinda between cars at the moment. Have a 20+ year old $100 toyota starlet. 20mins walk to town to work, or 2 secs down the hall to the home office. Bike trailer and nothing to tow it with.
For years we got by with 1 or 2 bikes between us and no car. When picking up Meri from work, others in the office thought I was a courier waiting for an important package... which I wouldn't deny.

XF650 Freewind, Legacy 250TB. They are very similiar in style - sensible, road orientated and with gentle off-road potential. Plus a Kona, a Specialized, a Scott and a GT. In order of kms in the last 6 months I'd say Freewind, combined treadlies, Legacy.

This is the missus washing ours (Rodeo 4x4 diesel ) only time its been washed in 3 and a half years ,It belongs to Holden leasing so it stays outside in the salt spray and spends most of its time grinding around the place in low range.
Gota give it back next year so will probably end up with some old shitter.

The Pajero has retired from it's 1,000km a week slog, and now just sits on the lawn and takes me 2km down to the lake on the weekends for my walk. The daily grind is now done on my 12 speed Avanti Town & Country, one of the first mountain bikes made.Just a standard 10 speed of the time with mountain bike bars....steel rims.Takes me around both lakes after work in summer.
My wife drives a 1994 Mercedes C220....cheap to run after the 3 litre Diamante.

Dunno about these deadly treadlies, but in a past life I drove a Holden HZ panel van with warmed-over 5.0L V8 and Commodore 3-speed auto, wide mags & sticky tyres... (It stuck like shit to a blanket right up until it hit a bump :bye:)
About then I swapped to bikes, boy did the CBX250 use a heap less go-juice!!!

That is a truly impressive list of treadlies and Padmei was well out there as well. Now I can tell Mrs Chasio that the 4 I have got jammed in the shed is pretty average :)

no I don't have it - that doesn't mean I want it though !!!!It's quite good if you are in to engines. It's been doing the rounds of a lot of engineering computers in the last few years.
You don't want all 42.3MB of it via dialup, either.
Google also threw up a link to a Perkins diesel screensaver- only 28MB
