Hey guys and gals,
Looking forward to Sunday, weather forecast looking good on your side of the Alps. Making a day trip of it this time so an early start required.
Had to do a bit of panel beating on Tickled Pick, exhaust and foot pegs had moved around a bit after falling off last time. Nothing a crow bar couldn't adjust though:woohoo:
See you Sunday all going well.
Cheers

Yip. Not only is it a day trip, but I HAVE to bring my two boys along.
They don't really want to come, one even said "It's boring", but being the great Dad that I am I simply said "bring a book, cause it's gonna be a long day", so if you see two boys hanging around the pits looking like they don't want to be there that'll be them.

Ha ha,
Well what a day that was, "Winteer Series" my arse, today was all about Spring warmth, and the feeling of mild sunburn. Hot chips for lunch while wearing sauna like leathers... a perfect recipie for weight loss me thinks. It did little for me in the buckets, though I had a real good time, and a couple of good tustles.
Racing today was with the Yamamha RD400. This bike continues to excite me. Have some great racing time in practice and race one.
The warm and dry track, and hearing a bike right up ya arse is mighty motivating, race two was just that, I could spy this horible Blue thing out the corner of my eye, it snuck past, and number 68 became a target, it was an awesome fight... white flag, and "I gotta get the &^%$er at pin" Yes I was in front leading into the corner... then the bike started bouncing and doing some weird shit, 1st thought --- somthing's up with the front end... and went straight off to the grass---nup it was fine... pull the clutch in:gob: there was no clutch, cable broke, and the Blue one was off into the distance. Gutted. at least it was just a cable and nothing worse. Thats racing I guess.
Cheers dangerous for the battle, that was wicked.

Ha Ha :niceone:, Well I had an orsome day too, The Boys actually had a good day out and are keen to come again, even mention of getting the scooter out at the Kart track, so things looking up.
I'm going to have to get some practice at starting. But once up and running I was circulating at the same speed as those in front of me, I couldn't catch up, but the gap didn't get any bigger, so was pleased with that. Still got a bit of Hair-Pin-Phobia though.
Cheers

The weather really turned it on,even got sunburnt!
I had a great day, was feeling confident and comfortable. I seem to have the hairpin sussed,I may not be taking the right line but i am comfortable with it, unlike a few others who seem to dislike that corner.
I felt I was going better than ever, and i don't think it was just in my head, I was lapped as usual, but I was lapped after the white flag. Nick C got me at pothole and then the 1st hoogie before the hairpin. Normally i get lapped well before the white flag - woohoo!!!!!. The whole first race I could hear something behind me and didn't know who it was, turned out it was Dave-,new to the track on a very loud FXR. 2nd race and I knew I had to be on my toes, Dave- and gwenda were both behind me, but they took 3 laps to get past and only 2 people lapped me. i was flying - at the back of the field!!!!:Punk:
