$25 a go :o
I guess it does take a while to realise where the balance point is on a bike and this is a quick and safe way of finding it.

OR 100 bux and you get to strap your bike to the machine and try for an hour ....
I'd pay for that, wouldn't you ?

I don't think think it's that simple. Though I guess you could make the axle brace adjustable and make it work that way.

Really?
I'd rate it 9.5 on the ghey-o-meter.

The previous owner of your bike spent a not inconsiderable amount of money making your bike into a better wheelie machine Toto. What a waste!

I propose that we take a treadmill and repower it with a GSXR1300 engine. A few matresses on each side and Bob's your uncle.

cud make a huckory one for about 1k i reckon, get a big drum, fill it with concrete, chuck a frame around it an put some bearing on the end, pivoting swingarm clamps, springy front wheel thing, done, maybe closer to 2k actually, or you could just htfu and practice on the track or private roads.

Where the hell were you this morning Toto? There were plenty of wheelies to be seen, courtesy of Gremlin on his wheelie machine, as Sharry will attest to. MBB couldn't behave himself either, as evidenced by some of his back tyre tread to be found at the traffic lights on Constellation Drive. ZXRider - well he was just bloody quick. I was the only well behaved one.....

Gremlin had Sharry adding ballast. ZXRider was riding slowly - when he rides normally the planet slows down due to th cornering force. MBB was very well behaved.
But, MsCBT wasn't all that well behaved, were you mate??????

MBB was very well behaved.
Oh you big sooth sayer MMB, don't imply your inocence  The rubber on the intersection says differently. Did we remiss to tell you that open roads are for two way traffic
Gremlin behaved admirably.... It's not his fault Katie has a front wheel allergy to tarmack, she is so addictive
ZXRider was impecable at whatever speed he chose
MsKABC was fautless and the only one abiding by all rules. There is no road rule saying you have to have the bike upright at all times is there

I wondered why there were so many cars on my racetrack this morning. Hmm.
Gremlin, well, he's a fun guy to ride with. Wheelstands the length of Quay Street the last Swarm I rode with him - today, outside the fuzz shop... He MISbehaves admirably...
ZXRider is super smooth and fast. Many have done impromptu hedge trimming when trying to follow his wheel.
And as for MsKaBC - yeah, she's a great rider, and she's a legend in long lines of traffic (eh!), but give her one little Scoot to u-turn...

Perhaps Quay st feels a bit short to you when you try to fold time?
I would enjoy thinking I was good enough to pull wheelies that far... in reality, I'm lucky to make it from light to light :bleh:
Besides... its not my fault... MBB misbehaved, and Katie responded... I was a passenger in all this! :eek5:

People actually pull that wheelie stuff on purpose? I fight to keep the front wheel on the ground, not flying off it...

thats where that machine comes in handy I recon. It surely teaches you some skills which are transferable to your own bike in some way.

Ah, I see your problem. I was unbalanced too (some used the word unhinged). Then the naughty devil and mischievous devil teamed up and bashed the angel.
That got rid of the annoying whining, and I have been balanced ever since :2thumbsup

I dunno... you certainly wouldn't want to straight away try emulating what you did on the machine. Things like the terrain, up hill or down hill, condition of the road surface, wind, all play a part. Can't imagine it feels all that real either.

Funny... whenever i see someone pulling a wheelie through traffic in town... i think what a wanker.... "look at me, look at me!"
Why can't these people grow up.

15th September 2009, 12:48
If that really is your angle then why generalise all wheelies? Or do you also believe that anyone doing wheelies regardless of time and place is a wanker?
nosebleed
15th September 2009, 12:58
Ask any rider, any real rider. It doesn't matter if you wheelie an inch or a mile; a wheelie's a wheelie.
I live my life a wheelie at a time. Nothing else matters: not the mortgage, not the store, not my team and all their bullshit. For those ten seconds or less, I'm free.

Well, if we take it that you consider yourself grown up... it sounds boring :bleh:
Wheelies are neither big nor clever... but they are fucken cool. I only do them because I like doing them

You don't need a machine! Just use your number plate to find the balance point :2thumbsup
