What's the weather like in the Waikato today? I was thinking about riding from Coro to Raglan but awoke to find thick fog up here which is really unusual.
Might need to amend my route

fog right in the heart of Waikato (Te Awamutu). Would say it won't clear until after 12. It's pretty bloody thick. Damp roads too.

Hi Glen, as soon as I've finished testing the sport tyres on the 'bird to destruction and write up the report for the importer - that's part of the need for a decent ride. Trying to do 1000km/wk.

Thanks Slofox, I'd be coming thro' the Tron but seeing as I can't even see the water 100m in front of our house, I'll do some painting indoors for a couple of hours

Still a bit of fog out in whatawhata although visibility is good. Sadly this sort of thing doesn't clear up until midday :( I would just come out anyway. By the time you get out here it will be all good!

Thanks for that - the whole trip sounds like a nice day run from Coro and back:niceone: Sadly though, we'll be in Tauranga for the day visiting friends.

I don't believe it!! Fog rolled back in 30 minutes ago and we can't see more than 100 metres from our deck. Have never seen it that bad up here. Hope I'm not screwed for riding tomorrow:no:

Fog was solid in Auckland this morning - airport was closed. Planes left/arrived in Hamilton before Auck opened! There was about 8 parked at Tauranga after holding Auckland til they were on reserve limits. Rotorua was marginal, Whangarei was too. Big high sitting over the North Island. Could be worse, heavy turbulence above 12000' south of Chch.

Just came back in from Rotorua. There's a haze over the Waikato and still fog on the Firth of Thames.
I'd say we'll have a ripper fog tomorrow....
But I could be wrong... usually am....

Some weird weather at the moment.
Apparently it was 20' overnight in Dunedin and got very hot in Christchurch today due to windchanges.
Personally i witnessed some weird fog in Takapuna this afternoon at about 3.30. Couldnt even see Rangi from the beach:laugh:
