Damaged bike

Is an out of line/twisted rear sub-frame (frame that seats the seat and rear section) likely to cause any main frame twisting/bending/misalignment? I am looking at a bike that has impacted on the exhaust as well as competely snapping the pillion peg off (imagine the peg snapping has twisted the rear sub-frame. The bike is an 03 Yammy R6 (on Trademe), is it normal for these bikes to run absolutely no rider sag in the back (maybe 5mm max) or is the suspension been set real hard???

It all depends on what caused the buggered subframe I would imagine.

Walk away, it's not worth your time given the amount of straight bikes out there. If it hit hard enough to snap that gear off, then what the hell did it do that you can't see.

The bike is an 03 Yammy R6 (on Trademe), is it normal for these bikes to run absolutely no rider sag in the back (maybe 5mm max) or is the suspension been set real hard???Firstly, if its an insurance writeoff and it's been hit hard, you should be paying parts+scrap price for it, because the certifier will fine-tooth-comb the damn thing, and you just know he is going to find something expensive.

If its not an insurance wreck, and if you want to fiddle with it, then go for it. Fiddling with bikes is great.. not as great as fiddling with girls, but nearly. ;)
