Hi I was wondering if anyone has had any time replacing a set of these seals with AK20 cartridges? I dont want to disturb anything when I pull them down as I have never worked on a set of forks with after market cartridges?
Or is it just like pulling down a normal set of forks?
I have emailed Robert Taylor but got an auto response saying he is away so thought I would ask on here

If you do it yourself, be super careful with the fork cap height when you conect it back to the damper rod, and also be VERY careful not to damage the top of the damper rod. AK20 rods a very soft

hmm I really wanted someone like Robert to do it but I get the bike friday and have to have it ready for racing next weekend.
I might talk to my mate from a bike shop who does suspension work

Last time I spoke to him he said he'll be back at work on the 21st - this coming Monday. Won't that give you enough time? A fork seal change is a 2hr job (max) if you know what you're doing.

Yep, changing seals isn't a drama... you just got to be careful with the AK20 cartridges
