Damn!! it was better left unseen! :shit:

Thats it for my share of road riding for a life time. This one has definetly put me off big time. At least I am not going to come across a 10 ton truck in the racetrack, Fuc*ing hell!!

The ultimate punishment for passing in the wrong place.

Any pick for the make and model of bike??

Must have been really motoring to bend that steel bumper.

I really feel sad for the pillion... What a way to end your life becuase of the rider being an idiot (it would have to be that in this case). No wonder so many people are scared to death about going on the back

Oh so true. They had trust in someone . . . . .

And the truck driver, couldn't do a thing.

Saw the helmet in the grill pic on another website. Its OK so I'll post it. Have seen my share of those pics, so I'm not even gonna look at the rest!

Ditto. :disapint:

Next time someone feels like posting a link to pictures of this nature, could you please provide a warning about the content?

For instance, in this case I would have typed:

Be Warned: Graphic photos of bodies at a FATAL motorcycle accident!!

Ditto for images that would be unsuitable for those of us connecting at w*rk to view.

Those arn't bodies they are body parts. I wonder who leaked the photos they look like investigation pics.

Certainly makes me feel better about my nana style of riding!

I'd say in that situation you'd likely die in a car anyway. that bumper looks about windshield height to me.

Marmoot
27th October 2003, 21:43
Sounds more like "ban those 4wd!" :D

This is my second fatal-crash picture..........the first one the person was cut literally into 4 pieces with blood everywhere.

Crap.......it's not good man! McD meals are too expensive nowadays to throw out again......

The pictures are horrible alright. They are the second most horrible ones, or one actually that I have seen. I wouldn't want to even begin to descibe it. And I wouldn't direct anyone to where I found it. I couldn't get it out of my mind for weeks.
But, they are also sad. Some poor beggars have lost someone and the affect of the accident (as with all accidents) will ripple out to their communities. Take care everybody, err on the side of caution, and "DRIVE TO SURVIVE".

that's pretty much what most bad crashes look like.....at a closing speed of 200kph it's always gonna hurt - even in a car.

Lou Girardin
28th October 2003, 09:00
At least it was quick. A good mate of mine took 10 minutes to die after a cage crash.
P S. There's lots of this stuff on rotten.com

I first heard about rotten.com when my sons told me about it. Of course curiosity got the better of me. Take my advice: DON'T GO THERE.
I still can't get some of those pictures out of my mind. Perhaps the ones showing the results of motorbike accidents might make you ride more carefully, but there's a lot of other stuff there that you'd be better off not looking at.
:done:

SPman

Yeah Rotten.com is bad news for those of tender sensibilities like me.....The first time I hit a link there, on jetstream with a flash media slideshow of, probably the one Marmoot saw - rider vs semi in the wet! I couldnt find the sodding off button fast enough - too much..I saw too much!

I think its enough to know it can happen, without the graphic images :sick:

actually.. that looks like a very american truck with a very american Highway patrol officer taking notes. So I would guess that the truck was supposed to be on that side.

It looks south of the border to me. Seems the guy came around the corner at speed and took it too wide, crossed over the centreline into opposing traffic.

I feel sorry for the truck driver.

that sort of sh*t will scare u 4 life.

SPMan: Yep, that's the one. TZM150 vs semi. Yikes.......

That is some nasty shit that is :gob:

At least it would've been a quick end I guess - anyone seen that email that went around of a girl who'd been stuck in a cage after an accident while it was on fire? Had before and after photos. Rather be dead than left like she was.

At 200k it doesn't matter whether you are driving or riding. You are screwed if you stop suddenly either way.

Unless you are super lucky like that guy on the "America's scariest police videos". He stole a late model corvett and shot past the cops at speeds well above 200 kmph. When he was swerving from lane to lane to avoid some trucks, he lost the tail at about 200 kmph and he spun the car right off the road.

Get this, he wasn't wearing the seat belt or anything, and when the car started spining he was launched out of it. The car ended up in some rocks I think and the driver actually got up with minor scratches.

Imagine that, what a rush it must have been...with NO SEATBELTS, shit thats scarry/stupid!!

Lou Girardin
28th October 2003, 14:53
Fire is the worst, the only fatal that shook me was seeing 2 young guys that were trapped when their car went up. Not their fault either.

Yeh same goes for the girl who was burned - she was hit by a drunk driver. He was ok (as is normally the case)... shoulda been him that burned...

I do 200kph with no seat belt on the bike - it is quite a rush

Oh yea? well... I doubt you'd try it with no helmet wearing only t-shirt, jeans, normal shoes and no golves of course. Thats what the guy had on when he went for a little flight off the car. Through some lucky miracle (the way he landed), he got away with hardly any bruseing or any broken bones!!

wkid_one
28th October 2003, 19:51
Umm - I also bet he didn't do it on purpose either - had he know he was gonna do that - I bet he woulda worn helmet, gloves etc.

The last thing he probably thought was - gee whata rush - wish I could do it again.

Motoracer
28th October 2003, 20:06
lol sarcasm at its best eh...

Even if he had thought that, turns out he won't be haveing another go for 15 years. Cause he'll be busy keeping the big black dudes from getting some ass from him for all that time :shit:.

Laws in the sates are damn tough thoe. Murderers over here hardly spend that much time (thoes done on manslaughter charges). 15 years for grand theft auto + doing a runner hardly seems justified.

You wouldn't catch me doing 20kph on a bike if I had to wear a seat belt :p

Yep, it's kind of a nightmare for the undertaker to make the corpses look good for the grieving families when they are as mangled and burned as that (I guess the white powder was from an extinguisher).
That picture is reality kids - we are all dead in the long run and this particular pair just died a bit earlier than they thought they would, - at least for them it would be BANG! and lights out - the pillion (who looks female) likely as not would not have even had an inkling that her ride was about to stop that quick.
Just remember these pics the next time you feel like carving up the street/motorway with you high speed run, it may not have been your fault but the last picture your loved ones would be able to get of you would be just like the ones I am talking about:rolleyes:

<IMG alt="Crash Suzuki GSXR1000 - Angeles Crest Highway, August 20, 2003. Rider went around a blind right-hander, probably panicked right before he crossed the centerline and locked the rear. Low-sided and slid into the car. Fortunately, he was wearing full leathers; probably would only have been embarrassed and sore if no car was coming. As it was, they choppered him out. They're working on him in the upper right corner. I don't think the T-Shirt Brigade on the brand-new bikes got the message. And for some reason the fuzz still don't reckon that's a good excuse for speeding ahead of all that dangerous traffic hehe :D
