Hi, Im new to the country and to biking. Took my BHS test the other week which was my first time on a bike. Loved it! Now have a VTL 250 (chosen after much deliberation, and scrutiny, and study of advice found on the threads on here) which you may see me bunny hopping around the quieter roads of kapiti on. If anyone has any hints/tips/guidance for me (of a serious and relevant nature :Playnice:) I would love to hear from you.
Looking forward to summer

Welcome to KB, we all have been through the bunny hop stage, just relax take it easy, you could hook up with a KB mentor, they are the ones with the Green ME after their name, there will be some one near you.

Welcome to the site mate! Heaps of good advice on here for ya! Just ride safely and often and whenever you have any questions jump on here and do a search...there's threads for most things, but if not just start a new one!
KB Mentor programme is good too.

Thanks :) I used them for my BHS and took their intro to bikes course just before that. First rate organization who I will happily reccomend to anyone in the area. Unfortunately, I dont think they do any courses specifically for beginner riders just starting out. If all goes according to plan, will take their advanced course in due course!

Hi Ed
Just keep your following distances nice and large for now, and give yourself plenty of time in between rides to consolidate. Don't do too much too quickly.
Find some good biking how-to books to read.
