I have picked up a pair of monstrously sized EVS vision knee braces; no production pants will fit over these beasts so I am thinking about getting Jett Leathers to do me a pair of custom oilskin pants. Has anyone got any experience with oilskin and abrasion? Equal to cordura? Whaddya reckon?

Rips pretty easy on sharp objects:eek:

I dropped a bike once wearing an oilskin parka over a Swanni - slid for ages on my back (stood up when I thought I'd stopped, and launched into a forward roll) There wasn't a mark on the parka,or on me.

Yeah I have some custom made oilskin pants, I havn't crashed in them yet but the guy I brought them off has been making them for years and reckons they are pretty good in a crash.
