The Suzuki NZ service bulletin for the GS doesn't have it in the specs and without stripping the shock out of the bike I had a measure up
The unloaded length of the shock from eye to eye is roughly 320mm +/- a mm or 2

Hello Warren ...
No. I simply have a now excess pair of mint 05 busa USD forks lying around and having a look at how easy it would be to chuck them on a GS.
I wouldnt mind having a project when I get back.
How are you?

On the eyeometer it's 808mm from the axle eye to the fork cap (flat edge... not the nut head)
The Service bulletin has:
front fork stroke = 130mm
front fork spring free length = 409.4mm
front fork oil level = 106mm
front fork oil type = fork oil SS-08 or #10 or equivalent fork oil
front fork oil capacity (each leg) = 599ml (20.2/21.1 US/Imp oz)

CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP... I have 720mm top of fork cap to the (rough) center of the axle eye. Looks like the forks I have here are guna be to short for a conversion... Or am I missing something?
Really appreciate your help.
Thanks! :2thumbsup:2thumbsup

Eventually my one might get a bit of treatment like that, but at the moment it's just getting subtle wee changes done bit by bit ;)

That one is off a Jap site..... the most modded one I've found so far but couldn't translate what exactly had been done.
apart from the obvious external changes it'd be interesting to know what's been done to the internals......:sherlock:
