So... I have a question I am hoping someone can help me answer.
If I had a bike that was 25deg / 99mm (bike 1) and another bike that was 24.1 deg / 97mm (bike 2) and wanted to put the shocks and lower triple from bike 1 onto bike 2 would I be likly to have any issues with geometry?
Does it all come down to the forks having to be a similar length?
Really appreciate the help.
Cheer,

Well it comes down to the offset of the triple clamps (both top & bottom are a set of course). but fork length & axle offset in the forks may also be an issue.
Will this be a problem? Well there may be a raft of issues that may crop up, but it may be just fine if you check everything out.
But then you get into; presumably you will use the front wheel & brakes etc. Does the new setup clash with radiator or new bar position with tank.
Are the forks suitable for the weight of the bike? Will the damping be a reasonable match to the back?
etc etc.
Aside from all this is it for a roadbike? If so are you prepared to get an LVV certificate (~$400 min) before it will be legal.

F5 Dave is right
i am in the middle of it now
one approach is just to try it see how it goes ,
I draw mine in Cad and run it through the expected movement

100% correct . We see many installations that dont take all these factors into account. Suspension is not one size fits all.
