Well it seems yet again I sit at the crossroads of a decision plagued by many...
I have just sold both my car and my bike and looking to buy a decent vehicle - car or bike. NOT both this time.
I really truley thought It would be a bike - but alas, my family are rather disturbed and attempting to put me off. I think back to how my mother never slept through the night while I had a bike, always waiting for 'the phone call'. I love the rush, the adrenaline, the speed, and the fear that comes with bikes. I also love driving unusual cars - being different.
I'm sitting on a pile of cash with a decision to make... my gosh it's hard.
On the one hand I have family who care about my safety and are worried about me. A friend who dare not get to close for fear of losing me. On the other I have a personal 'requirement' for the rush and even the social grouping that accompanies bikes....

Well, i've met you once or twice, I would say..
Go for the unusual car. Though i've never driven a car before..
I could definitely break my rules to drive something interesting and unusual.
I reckon you can get just as much fun out of it, and have just as much pride. While still being practical and "safe".
Though, as always, it's up to you wih what you choose in the end.

Seeing as this is a biker forum the answers will obviously be weighted in one direction...so....buy a car.
Actually, Buy a v8 ute and an MX bike.

Hate to break it to you mate, but mothers do that with their offspring in cars too.....;)
go with the bike - the end result of a worried mother will be the same whichever way you go! She just wuvs you!!

Car or bike makes mums worry lol.
Seriously get a bike if you want to badly,if the parents have a car you can use when required then sweet.
Also life is too short, you could end up with any number of illness' and think what if.Not only a bike accident can kill you.

Get a scroter.
All the kewl kids are doing that.
It's just like a car, but with two wheels missing.
Go onnnnn.... You know you want to.
Srsly, if you can't be a big boy and make a decision for yourself, you should go on some forum full of weird, semi-dysfunctional people, and ask them.
Ooh ! OOOHH!!
Better still - stick up a pole (stripper or opinion) and get people to vote. That there's a truly democratic way to decide something.
Decision by proxy.

Sounds like a fucking bad combination to me (Katman in 3 .. 2 .. 1). How about a ute and a cheapie dirt bike for jollies?

If you even have to ask this question you deserve to be stuck in a car for the rest of your life. Get the car and leave the bikes to real motorcyclists.

Buy a selection of mini motos, bung them into the shagging wagon you will be getting and Bob's your uncle, Fannie's your aunt and Herman is the transexual no-one talks about.
So run that up the flagpole, shoot it down in flames, stone the bloody crows and get some of that in ya!

You should be less concerened about what others think. Weigh up the pros and cons of each, considering what you need the transport for, and a answer should present itself.

Buy a run down house in a crappy neighbourhood, find a woman and have some sprogs. If there is any $$'s left then buy a crappy little hatchback. Then sit and watch your life dribble away while you come on KB and read what all the bikers are up to.
And now when you sit there thinking "fuck off!!!" you will come to your senses and do the only right thing.

In essence you need to decide if a root is more important to you than a bike.
Not a decision I'd wanna make at your age.

Don't forget that the numberplate needs to be hanging at a 45-degree angle from a single bolt. It's what all the cool kids do now.

Car or bike? Nah, get a one way plane ticket out of NZ. The motoring public of NZ will thank you

Get a decent bike, cheap car.
I found this to work best. In comparision to a bike, you can get a lot of car for not a lot of money...

Idiot... now you'll be getting pulled over every two seconds...
My advice would have been, get what your heart desires. Sounds gay but hey... "die with memories, not with dreams" :)
