It finally arrived - took nearly 2 weeks but the adjustable screen attachment I ordered from the States arrived and was fitted very quickly to the 990 standard screen.
I ordered the narrowest gap between the mounts they had available - it isn't a perfect fit, and they don't list the 990 Adv as one of the bikes they make them for, but measuring before I ordered indicated that it should work.

Pics attached

I don't think it comes up as high as the one on the Tiger did and I also didn't want to drill the holes any closer to the edge to bring it up further than as you see it.

I rode it through to Dunedin tonight - It definitely feels calmer around the head and a bit quieter. The dirty turbulence is just around the very top of my helmet.
I'm still experimenting with the settings a bit. There's meant to be a brisk SWester for my ride home in the morning so we'll see what difference it makes then.
The screen on the KTM is pretty marrow so you should be able to fit these onto pretty well any screen

Good looking screen RM.

How much did Uncle Sam charge you for it???

Less than the Tiger one.

Windscreens are not about how tall you are, it's about how long you are in the back!

Long back short legs, or long legs short back, surprising how much difference there is between individuals of even the same height! :oi-grr:

Waiting to hear the final judgement on the windscreen modifications RM.

That KTM is not getting too comfortable for you is it? :Pokey:

They're not cheap - $79US + $35 freight. I haven't looked at my VISA bill yet to see what that was in $NZ

I still haven't decided whether to change this thing further - the key bit of technology is the hinges, you can change the plastic screen bit easy enough.

I reckon its actually still a tad low for me and am considering cutting off the top of the original Transalp screen that I have here (I sold it with the higher screen on it) and mounting that on the hinges.

It felt different at the weekend when riding 2-up all the time and I ended up shifting the screen position to compensate. Still fiddling but with some perseverance I'm sure this system is the answer!!

I always have to alter my MRA screen when riding two up, as to riding solo or loaded up, that's why it is adjustable!

Sometimes have to adjust it depending on the strength of head winds too!

Bet you won't find the KTM as good as the Tiger in side winds, Tigers just seem to have that side of biking licked. Don't know why, they just do!
