Why was it good? The lack of detail is disappointing, you guys must be really tired!

Guess we'll have to wait until later for the real "write up" masters to return home...

Well as there was no "racing" or silly bugger behaviour there isnt much to tell

As far as I know only 2 bikes went for a slide - both riders waled away :ride: WT found out his Suzuki really had a Ducati motor, and I think I even saw frosty smile

Yea I'll add mine and say that I'm gonna always remember my first track day :D
I had so much fun and i reckon I improved 3-fold throughout the day, as well as everyone else in my group (the slowies). I had bought a bike the day before (that NC30 in New Plymouth) and so had to run it in :p - it kicks ass!

So anyway thanks heaps to Frosty and everyone else involved, it couldn't have been a better day for me. Not a spot of rain, brilliant day. I especially enjoyed watching the guys doing the wheelies/stoppies/crashes :p after lunch.

Big Ups Tony, well done on today, so whens the next one eh?

I had a good day all round, the first session was spent trying to figure out what way the bike was going to turn coz of the collapsed swing arm bearings that somehow got through the bike check  made for an interesting ride at times.
Afther that the second session was awesome had a ball, the third session i lent the mighty TL to WT to show me how it's really ridden, the fourth was even better, the "wheelie" session was choice, am learning alot, getting nearer balance point and even getting a shift in here and there. So am happy indeed. The last session, my hand was swelling up a bit from where i broke it, so me Death and Dss3 went out and did some wheelies, well Death did, me and Dss3 had moments of greatness but we all cower in Deaths shadow, maybe WT would've played with us to but his Gix shat itself, which sucked.

Wicked, wicked day, maybe touched 44's, maybe, was 45's for sure. But my brake lever meeting the lever and the swingarm, hampered any real progress, but all in all, for my first track day and real ride in anger back from my injuries it was awesome.

Give that man Frosty some serious Rep points. And thanks to all others involved, and thanks to Ray & Co for making room on the truck for Betsy (me special TL) saving me a ride home.

You said it all. That was one of the best track days ever. It was great to see people working together and help was there for all at all times. To have the top riders drop in to a round and show lines was the best. It is great to see so many people working together. Thanks Frosty you have good leader skills and we need people like you to get these things under way. Top points. To all the marshals thanks for your day. It can be a bit of a long slow day for you all if you are not riding so thanks for your time. To the ambo people. You were not needed, from what I saw, but thanks for being there. It is a peice of mind to know, should it happen, you do not have to wait 10 minutes for the ambo to come from town. Too much to say and too many people to thank as I am not a literary person so cheers everyone and thanks. :2thumbsup

Though I was home sometime before you I did the jobs around here then hit the sack. What a fantastic day !!!!!!.
You lot are bloody magic.
A whole bunch of people to say thanks to.
Micrisis and co for seriously saving my bacon at about 10pm last night
Now guys these fellas slaved their guts out for us --They deliversed my bike at 12.30 with 4 more still to drop off -These are the heros of the day :2thumbsup :2thumbsup
I wont forget that you guys - bed for the night was the VERY least I could do.
Every single one of the marshalls who did a fantastic job of keeping the track safe.
AJturbo for making sure everybody fed onto the track properly.
Douggie (not a kber)n and Motoracer for giving up track time to act as instructors for those that needed it.
Pillion for making sure the paperwork flowed well.
Gixxer4eva--the food thing was just fantastic.

Most of all THANK YOU ONE AND ALL without you lot coming along itd have been a pretty lonely track day.
Only 3 bins and noone hurt all day -Fantastic. and one bike part that went west -to be found later buried in someones fairing.
It was really fantastic to see the improvement in the slow and touring group riders. The improvement was HUUGE in some cases.
I got a lot of track time mostly watching the slower groups.-Somehow i managed to wear a knee scraper out.
There will be another KB track day--most probably the other end of winter.

WOW!!!! x160,000,000!!! I thought drag racing was fun, but it doesn't even compare to a track day. I cannot say thankyou enough to Frosty and his awesome team of helpers. The day ran smoothly, and the rules were sensible but not rediculous. I also cannot say thankyou enough to all the kb'rs who fed newbies like me with an endless supply of advice, help and much ego pampering. I can honestly say i learnt heaps and my riding improved every lap i did on the track. I will be definately be supporting the next track day. It was great to meet some more kb'rs, and cheers to all the dudes in the red group who played with me, i had a blast guys and gals.

WELL DONE FROSTY!!!

I really wish I'd got my shit together earlier with the shift change so that I could have participated. Next time I'm definately doing a track day!!! Enjoyed my pillion blat round the track at the end of the day with WT - only one wheelie tho!!!

From a spectator point - it was fantastic seeing the big grins and improvements from the virgin tracktimers! Can't wait to be in that position myself. Big :2thumbsup to all the marshals as well for giving up their time, and also for the organising of Subway for lunch.

Good to have the company of LB, Zapf, and Sudeep's brother (sorry can't remember your name) on the ride down.

Great also to put faces to names, and the instant cameraderie between everyone because we're all from KB. Thanks everyone!

i'm still buzzing... from yesterday..( or is it the fact that BabyB has just left..2hrs latter than she should have..... )

but i was most interested to see how the slow riders were going to improve, as that was the class that i thought would have the most to learn....

and as frosty said (from where i was) you could see them ALL going into the sweeper faster and faster as the day got on......at the begining they were all very stiff and up right.... by the end they were noticeably more relaxed and their grins at the dummy grid were gettin bigger and bigger as the day went on!!!!

just a word here...
sorry i had to show everyone up with the burn out.....and thanks for the help{person will remain nameless...yep i don't know who he was... ) (holding the bike up so the back wheel would turn.. :killingme :killingme )

i found out that the sweeper was up hill........

THANKS AGAIN FROSTY!!..... for letting me take the SV out ..... after the power of the "other " bike i took out.......

i will not take it for a ride to rotvagas just to make sure that the battery is fully charged when i drop it off   hahahah

andy ...

i would love to help out again.( IF karen hasn't got her bike sorted!!)

Frosty, we were more than happy to help out on Saturday night and am glad we had some room left in the truck for the bike and all your gear (You haven't told the community about your voyeurism incident :msn-wink: ).Thanks for the accomodation on Saturday night. We got the last bike delivered at about 1.30am (Sorry to your neighbours Rodders). We got held up at the accident on H'way 2 so made it a long one.
Wanted to say thanks to both Bugjuice and Loosebruce offering me there bikes when our clutch cable gave up and Quasie frantically trying to fix it :niceone: so I could get out on the track, but managed to get a couple of rides in which was good.
Was definitely a great day Tony and surely a good sign for the future of Kiwibiker track days :2thumbsup

Yeap Awesome day was had

The first ride on the GSX400sp and I really had some reservations about the bike being old and all compared to the nice new 636, but I was stunned as to how awesome the old girl went
Tight lines smooth ride all good, I thought it would be wobbly and bloody horrible.
I started out on 58 sec laps and with confidence i Got down to consistent 52 sec. Some wise words from WT and tutoring from XJ and MR (thanks guys) I got faster.
I went out in the last fast group session and got down to 50.2
I was loving it. I will try and get some more grunt out of the bike and get sub 50 next time
I hade my mate time you frosty at 58.6 so look out sone the gap is shrinking

Really good day XJ, a damn good credit to you, ON YA

Only 3 bins and noone hurt all day -Fantastic.
Try telling that to my shoulder! Bit of the old rigor mortis setting in today but I'll go get some physio to ensure it don't join the igloo brigade.

Oh, and those noisy forks? Come on! I reckon the noise you heard was the cable rubbing up and down inside the cleat. Surely you know a bit of rubbing increases the effect on the cleat auras !!!

Thanks heaps for all of your effort to ensure everything went smoothly. I'll sure put my hand up for being a marshal next time. And let me know if I can be of any help towards getting that van sorted eh? Tell me the motor model, I might be able to find one down the road.

Well, a really good day, and thanks to Tony for his drive and organisational skills - (mine definitely need improving). that provided the driving force to make this all happen.
And a thanks from all the marshalls for us having a boring day. - minimal spills is good news and it was good to see everyone out there enjoying themselves (well, most of the time), going as hard as they wanted and not being dickheads! Good to see everyone generally loosen up and gain confidence as the day wore on.

And after Saturday, thanks to whoever sacrificed (fill in appropriate number) virgins to the weather gods!

A great day.

I was at work this morning so was brief with the thank yous. I have a bit to add...

It goes without saying thanks a million Frosty for making it a "fun" day. I big thanks to MR and the boys who took time out to let us follow you to get the right lines for the track.

A big thanks to AJ for getting us started without any drama (I know you loved the power). A big thanks to Karen and Lynda for the most important thing - lunch and indemnity forms :ride: A huge thanks to the marshalls!

A big thanks to my pit pony...next time you better bring an umbrella Zapf cos it got kinda hot in the beautiful sun that the biker gods gave us. Also to Stroker Girls other half for helping with the chain tension... :Punk:

And lastly a big thanks to DSS3 for taking us from Hamilton thru to Taupo on an awesome ride despite the rain and to Drunken Monkey and Swanman for letting me sleep on the couch due to lack of a bed.

I just have to add (yeah I know I rave on) I LOVE my bike now

First and foremost, thank you Tony. You're organisation, professionalism and execution of this track day was second to none. I really appreciate the amount of effort that must have gone into this, as I'm sure does everyone.

Thanks to the Marshals, for your keen eyes during the day. It must have been rather boring out there, but it was great knowing help was a radio call away! I thanked a few of you in person, but couldn't get to everyone

Thanks to Motoracer for taking me around 3/4 of the track to learn the correct lines. You'd be suprised how much that helped me, especially on the sweeper and hairpin. Next time, you must show me the "esses" and entry into the corner at the end of the back straight. Also, I had heard heaps about you being a good racer and all, but I wasn't really all that aware/impressed until Sunday! You really know how to handle a bike. You knowledge of lines is obvious, since you must have got out of the sweeper with ALOT more speed than me, because you passed me at the end of the back straight when I was just about "full tits"

Thanks to everyone who rode on the track, for riding so safely and making the day enjoyable for all :Punk:

Thanks to Subway, and Gixxer4eva. Even though I never did get the two orange juices I ordered and paid for, I took two bottles of water instead. Healthier and more hydrating! I also had subway for dinner that night, as well as breakfast the next morning (monday morning). Subway - Eat Fresh :msn-wink:

Mate, it reallllly is no problem. Like I said, I ended up preferring water anyway. If I must moan about something, it would be that noone was all that bothered by the fact that I never got them. I asked like 4 times and didn't really get an answer to what was happening. Kinda felt like I was nagging, didn't mean to. But, don't complain on my part alone, nice sandwich and friendly service, what more can I ask for :)

Hi all, just like to say what a brilliant day I had on Sunday. Getting out on the track was like WHOOO HOOO! I was pretty nervous for the first few sessions, especially after a small venture into the rough  I kept thinking I was going to lowside at every corner but have now learnt that my bike is more than capable of getting me around in one piece. Its the rider that I have to worry about!

A huge thanks to Frosty for organising the event. That the day went off without any drama is a true credit to your skills. Thanks also for taking time to show me some good lines around the track. It really helped. Hope you enjoyed thrashing my little beast at the end of the day and that we could assist in wearing in your scrapers! :msn-wink:

Big cheer for the marshalls and AJ for giving up your precious time to watch over us. Also to those involved in the huge task of getting us all lunch.

To me the best part of the weekend was meeting all the KB people and talking bikes. I learnt a lot of good tips over the weekend. Thanks to those who came over with advice and encouragement. What a nice bunch of people you are!

Sorry for my late Thank you. My internet has been down and when I went to use my mate's yesterday the site was down!!!!

Frosty that was a fanTAZtic day. I have done a few track days in the UK where you have to go through co.'s that organise them and you did the same great job. Thank you to all of the marshalls as well for giving up their time it was very much appriciated. Seeing all the Thank you's hopefully you will feel some gratification for what you all did.

While I am on the Thank you's I would like to say thanks to WT and Jimbo600 for there help in getting me up there and back. I had such a great day.

I look forward to getting to know all of you better through the ride outs and more track days.

My door is always open to any of you KBers that are down this way, Just ping me a msg and let me know and the beer will be in the fridge!!!
