$36K should get you the 1198S with its bells and whistles, but as for the 1098/1198R with its special bells and whistles, spare exhaust and I think ECU, sand castings and about race track ready, expect to pay double that.

Shit
More research required by the sounds of it, maybe cut back on the bells.

Nice bit of kit alright. A bit extreme unless you are going to use it on the track ,I would think. Very nice though. $85,000 1098R.

If I had a machine like that, its not going to the track:shit:
I would be riding it down Lygon or chappel st, parking it out front some posh cafe and order a latte and scones, jam & cream

After much consideration I'm thinking about the Yamaha V Max 1700 cc.........
I can just see myself parked in service stations every couple 100 k's (or less) fueling up this thirsty BEAST, but it just looks so cool.......got to do it and soon.

You and your boner should go and test ride a VMax 2010 1700 V4............If you want POWER (200HP) , If you want a bike that has been built and designed by people who know what they are doing and with a flair for the art of motorcycling, and you want a bike that can handle the twisties and in my opinion leave most sports bikes behind in a cloud of dust and tyre smoke...........give the VMax a good go
