Well she has been a longggggggggggggggg 8 or so weeks, seen the specialist tuesday for the cort injection .. ohh by the way I am riding my bike sat  hmm if you do a very short trip only (but big no no to riding the capital 1000k .. sweet pillion ride then  )

Then seen physio yesterday (top bloke also rides) .. soooooooooo I can ride tomorrow :blip: .. a short trip with no twisties right .. uh huh .. short ride (under 100ks) & lunch with the girls .. ok then ..

sooooooo woke up to rain but clearing skys to the south :wari: .. feed horses & ready to ride to palmy testing out my "new riding style" to try & take as much pressure off my shoulder & tendon ..

yeah not too bad .. arrived at Oscarnz for the general meeting point & thanks to pauly for sorting my chain out :niceone: .. then Mo, Pegasus, Oscarnz & I headed over to Sanson to scare Busted .. n pick up Little Smurf  by this time the roads had dried out perfectly

so back roads taken (with legal speeds being observed) back to shannon for a great lunch break.. then ummm coffee at Moxies .. ohh hell having to much fun .. lets go ..

wind had picked up a bit but with dry roads .. all sweet  Pegasus got blown about with the wind on her 250, however she did an awesome job, with experience & practice you will get more comfortable with this, we have all been there done that

sooooo great day with the girls (thanks girls  ) and over 250 ks by the time I got home :innocent: (lets do that again soon .. next time a longer ride) feeling pretty darn shattered (thanks for dinner Mark, and wo hooo AB's won) totally totally totally awesome to be back out on the bike again, now to try & build a bit of ride fitness for a few long rides coming up ..

ohhh only 3-6 months before arm is totally sorted, but since cort injection the horrible pain is gone :Punk:

That's the spirit! :niceone: I've got a gammy knee at the moment and I'm still painfully tootling around on the old motosickle! Sounds like you had a blast and of course ignored doctor's orders to "restrain" yourself to "local" areas! :msn-wink:

lol ohh no I kinda stayed local .. just ended up doing one road 3 times

the last time was a rather fast trip thanks to the asshole who sat about a foot away from my back wheel .. so wanted a bit of distance between us & got a few cars between us .. hmm that was fun so then it was ummm open that throttle a few more times .. ok a lot more times

One step at a time girl ... dont rush it or it just takes it longer to get right. The last stages of recovery take the longest to happen.

Yes it was a great day, nice ride, great company, good coffee too.

Until that wind tried to get the better of me, I was feeling nicely confident. I just have to stop being such a nervious nellie when that wind comes up. It's not like I won't get plenty of practice in the wind, living in Palmy.

good coffee is always a must .. :niceone:

wind can give your confidence a bit of a battering, and its not easy being on a nice light bike either, but yes practice will give you some measure of confidence & balmy palmy sure can provide that in spades sometimes :)

You made it through it chick, so all good & you did the right things too

Good to see ya out and about again!:2thumbsup

Words you hate to hear,you can't drive(or ride)for 6 weeks,first week draaaaags,then all of a sudden woo hooo.
Came back from Napier Friday arvo, and the wind from Norsewood was tough, and hadn't dropped yesterday.

Little steps are fun, enjoy the blast, and shoulders are annoying to fix, mine gives pain at times. Some call it ageing,I preferr maturing. My kids call it alszheimers training, funny they won't jump on the back with me.

Was it world"let the ladies out of kitchen day"yesterday perchance.:wari::2guns:

Good to see you out there again  I know how hard it is being sidelined and rule of thumb for me is take what the doc says and halve it. Subject to a bit of self assessment that is :niceone:

Riding is like healing salve for the soul.
your not wrong there, the depression has definitely lifted after yesterdays fling .. Now to start working the horses too

Do enjoy, but don't overdo it, will you? Slow and steady etc etc. :2thumbsup
even managed to restrain the temptation to get out there again today, but have cleaned the chain this morn, still feeling the effects of yesterdays ride so it will have to be a slow steady job ..

and you do not wanna live long do you :nya: .. the girls are organising a revolt to disappear on the bikes quite often .. so best the boyz start learning to fend for themselves  .. of course I don't have that problem :blip:

problem is still holding the throttle open (esp when car decided to sit a foot from my arse) if it was just the issue with pain & shoulder that would be one thing (which is now gone) .. its the pressure being on the tendon thats the current issue .. I will not be pushing it too hard cause I want it resolved once & for all rather than go through this again ..
