That Avalon Biddle will be travelling to Italy at the end of September to take the Moto Academy NZ Derek Hill Memorial scholarship reserved place at Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup 2010 selection event.
Avalon, her dad Keith and Steve Bagshaw of Moto Academy NZ will take off for Italy on 30 Sept, for the Rookies Cup selection event on 6 October. The circuit is in Italy, but which one cannot be disclosed right now in case locals find out and decide that they need extra track learning practice.
We are very happy to announce that Global Motorsports Ltd and The Documentary Channel (http://www.documentarychannel.co.nz) have kindly agreed to assist us in getting to Europe and back.
We are also very happy to announce that The Interislander (http://www.interislander.co.nz) will be providing Moto Academy NZ with Cook Strait travel during the summer of 2009/10.
While Avalon is attempting to secure her place in history as the first NZer and the first female (I think) to be selected for Rookies Cup, Steve will be attempting to tie up loose ends for a summer initative in New Zealand involving Red Bull Rookies Cup.
We are hopeful of attracting further support to allow this to become a reality and a future fixture of the NZSBK.
Thanking you to all of our supporters who have supported Moto Academy NZ (http://www.motoacademy.co.nz) over the past two years, to the new supporters who are getting on board and to Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup for providing us with this unique opportunity for a young NZ rider.
Thanking you.
