New to the dirt!

Just thought i'd pop on and say how'd and that I am new to trail rding, so over the time I may ask daft questions.

First off, does anyone know of any good places close to Hamilton that you can go and have ride and improve your ability, whenever you want ? ie Forests, I live close to Mt Pirongia, but I don't think it's acceptable there....

Heaps of places to ride in the surrounding areas. Thunder x park (in question due to being for sale), kimmys farm bike park west of huntly, Madix park in Tauranga, tokoroa area has heaps of trails but you'd prob wanna get a bit of experience up before hitting the trails.
