What an amazing day....Yea yea, after I realise my bike keys are in my gear that I swapped to wear a friends leathers:Oops:. So there I am at 7.15 out side their place - no one home - freaking out cause no one was answering their fones:wacko:. Thank fully they came home from work to give me my keys, I'm thinking maybe...well a whole lot of crap actually. ANYWAY.... I make it out to the track with 2 mins to spare, all gassed up and ready for the days adventures. My wee 250 was thrashed, to the best of my ability:sweatdrop and through the Prorider course - folks in Nelson - I understood more clearly why I'm not really prepared to race her on a regular basis. Suspension, idle level and all sorts continuously needs to happen to a bike that is to be raced, I need a bike to ride on the roads foremost at present. We had the whole track, it was brilliant. It was my first time out there but I just want to lean more and have more confidence, I want to corner so much better. My biggest frustration is the 3rd corner on the track and I stuffed it every bloody time. It's just so friggin tight. I want to learn to trust my tires more. The dipper is very cool though, that gave me the feeling of doing some lovely leaning and looking ahead. I also got to ride my friends Triumph Tiger and a 2003 BMW. I only took the BMW around once as they had to go but I got the Tiger up to 160kms on the straight. Pretty awesome for this noobie.:woohoo: The track is such a perfect place to take all that frustration of road riding. The speed limit, other people, the not knowing whats around the corner etc. All part of the road but well, I needed to get out there and will be doing it again. Regularly. The instructors were really clear and helpful, focusing on what the group wanted. It was very cool to be out on the track with Karel Pavich. She is an awesome rider. It was a fantastic day. The weather was great, the group were nice and the Prorider team passionate about teaching riders anything they wanted to learn.
Verdict - Brilliant day. Fact - I want more!

Sounds bloody awesome. And I'll be living in Christchurch next year so even better. I'll finally be able to get some proper training.

I went to Ruapuna once for a full day on the track and I loved it. By the end of the day I felt that I could handle the bike so much better.
