Hello every one.

im working on the rimutaka hill road realignment project.

just a note to let you all know, there has been a speed reduction and concrete barriers have been placed along both sides of road in the construction site area.
this will cover from the summit down to bottom of first passing lane on lower hutt side.
this passing lane has also been removed, to be used by construction trucks.
this section is now quite tight, and care needs to be taken.

as im a rider i thought id pass this on to other riders.

things are going to get busy up there soon...

Get a pen and alter the plans with lots of squiggly lines...make it twisty-windier..... go on...I dare you...

Gets plenty windy enough... 160kph winds at one stage! :shifty:

On the other hand... you junkmanjoe, are party to destroying the taka hill rd!! Don't say it's just your job or some other sad excuse... I'm sure the Gestapo officer at Auschwitz said the same thing... :dodge:

Just to clarify... J/K, okay?

best thing they should do to it, is bulldoze the whole thing flat and be done with it.:done:

They will do that eventually, don't know why they just didn't put a "big" tunnel through and leave the road alone! :shifty:
