I got about $300 to spend. My W2's have been great, but are rooted.

Suggestions? I tried some tech3's but I don't like the look of the sole as they look like they will have no grip in Rivehead type conditions. Should I try some Axo primes again?

spend a bit more and get some boots with proper hinged ankle protection? some of those cheap 1s you can roll ur ankle walking thru the carpark! maybe ok for mx but theres a lot more 2 get snagd on in the bush.

In that price range, no matter what , you would only assume maybe 2 yrs use max...?
We (noobie and me)got a pretty good deal on Fox comp 5's at cycletreads ($300 a pair)
Our O'neils prior to that only lasted about 12 months
The Gaernes or axo's are meant to be good value also.
Oldschool got some nice Trackers from Torpdoe7
Depending on your hoofie size

This is getting pretty old because i say this after every time a new boot thread comes up, Alpine star Tech 10s are worth the $$ Years ago i was like you guys and was just like there is no way im speending that much $$ on some stupid boots. Untill i injured my ankle from a flat landing. Spent the money got some Tech 10s and sine then no problems! I have done over 200hours of riding with them and replaced the soles once id say they have another 100 hours of riding left in them. I am very hard on boots my mate brought the smae boots at the same time and hill look mint. I use them for Trail, FMX and MX. And yes ive tried the SG10's but they just dont live up to the tech 10 for overall comfort and support. (My spare boots are SG10's)

yeh some with my Axo Primes. Not quite the same dollar value as the tech 10 but huge improvement over the Boxers I had! I kept snagging the same ankle on stumps and I reckon these new boots will prevent that! They do have that fancy T bone ankle system in. Bit of a bitch to break in but theyre good now! Time will tell how many hours they last.

Spent abit extra mate and get those tech10's of BTOsports. Thats seriously a mint deal. You could get those landed for under $400 NZD + you get a massive alpinestars poster haha =P

I make it $320 USD and say $40 freight = $360-00USD = $500-00 NZD plus GST = $562-00NZD Landed.
Might be a bit steep for the original $300 dollar budget? They are an $800 dollar boot though arn't they??
