Hmm, check if a RZ crank is the same - be easier to get. I know LC ods are 1mm narrower on the big ends so the centres are different, unless you trim the pins.
You can makee a RZ crank fit LC cases with luck and work.. Seen it done, never done it.
I have an RZ250 crank, but that end is stuffed with a munted key. What is wrong with yours - a good specialist welder cna repair the keyways.

The LC cranks can be made to fit RZ cases and vice versa but it's not a simple swap. Crank parts are still available.

I have got my cases apart and a old LC and RZ crank, Having a measure and think about how to to it .
You can buy new HotRod RZ/Banshee cranks(also in 4mm stroker) from the states, Good time too as well with the good exchange rate

It's been done before and although more expensive first time around because of the crankcase machining and the purchasing of a new crank would probably be the best thing to do for longevity, patching up with used bits will probably just lead the same failure again

crank 'parts' are NOT availble however compleat crank asembles are at $1500 and that I can not afford certinly be the way to go tho.

So the banshee cranks are the same as a RZ hence they dont fit straight in? what are they worth?
What is wrong with yours the crank has worn badly around the left main and seal, a air leak is inevitable as the surface is very unevin.
My last crank blew the other end but im buggered if I know were I left it as the end I need is ok on that one, it may have gone in the Ling bargin bin of bits n pieces?

Steve was talking about making up RD ones as well. Maybe worth an ask.
The Two.S.Shop (http://www.twostrokeshop.com/RZRD350_Banshee_TSS_Crankshafts.htm#18054)
There is a bit about making RZs fit RD but would need to read up on LC forum etc before attempting.
If it all comes to that I happen to have a rebuilt low mileage RZ350 crank drenched in oil in a plastic bag in the garage that I was intending to sell one day. Probably along with my oversize ported YPVS barrels. They fetch good money from US Banshee guys wanting the update

The RZ crank is slightly wider, crankcase have to machined for the extra width

..
RD-LC (not YPVS, though they have those too) crank webs are available from these (http://www.yambits.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=241_97_103_122&osCsid=53317fb888c03165b7edde6123593aea)dudes, price around $120 + freight . (also conrods, bearings etc for ditto).
However , looking at the picture of the web, it appears that it does not include the actual sticky out shaft bit . If that is a press in fitment you could probably get one machined up here in NZ for not a huge amount.
Banshee is essentially an RZ without the YPVS (go figure) . I think the diemnsions are the same as the RZ , not the RD . I also seem to remember that there is some minor difference in the end shafts (different genny? water pump? can't remember). It's not a drop in fit for the RD-LC.

Ixion that is a crank inner web, because the pin is part of the casting that is what usually wears through the hardening and needs to be replaced as a unit. Dangerous needs an outer web, or he could have the old one hard chromed and reground

How do you get on with buying parts from the USA? when do you start paying duty and taxes? If i buy 3 sets of mains and seals , will i pay duty or should i buy the parts in separate orders?

Always look at the obvious place first. Left hand crank part for 1984 350 still available from Yamaha part no 20353-001 about $US100. So does this crank part fit your shaft ?

I have all the part numbers of the cranks and parts for LC and RZ at home, I will have a look tonight to see if the crank outers are the same between LC and RZ
I dont think the USA got LCs( and in the UK thay are all RD YPVS, 83 RZ is a RD350LC2 over there). They only got RZs later on(85 or 86) with catalitic converters....... Yuk
They part daigrams dont crank webs available sepratatly , looks like they come with both centre mains ,labarinth seal and both crank web/pins.
I havnt found ant labarith seals listed any where, Maybe i havnt looked hard enough lol

Na man.. 84 is the RZ or in some contrys they were still called the RD but they are different, the last true RD was in 82.
Having spoken with Yamy NZ you can only buy crank asemblys (includes bearings and rods) at a price you would buy a entire bike for.
I have just been given this site which sells just what I need and prices dont seem to bad either. http://www.pjme.co.uk/acatalog/Yamaha_RD350LC_Bottom_End_.html
