Hi Dudes and Dudess's
Well I got to my first UK rally which was based in Chippenham a quaint little town near to Bristol........I had to friggin drive there though as its taking time getting my bike up to legal requirements, hoops to jump through etc., which is doing my head it at the moment:angry2::crazy:
I went to a mate Leaving do on the Friday evening, did the sober driver thing and got ont he motorway to head West about 1145pm, and wow it was fantastic, the sky was clear the stars were out and there was nothing on the motorway, met a coule of bikers in the motorway services and cheweed the cud with them, they were French Dude with impeccable english, and easy on the eye too, so swopped emails with them:msn-wink:
Got the rally site at 1245 and everyone that was up, was abosultely bolloxed, so had 4 beers in quick succession and fought the guys off from helping with the tent, I dont think my tent could cope with 4 pissed people laughing trying to put it up........
The group I attached myself to are Army and Raf Guys, and guess what they are the Army's White Helmet Motrcycle Display team, so had a ball with them, they took the piss out of me continually for the whole weekend as (1) I drove, and (2) being a cop, but all the services always get on, so mad some great mates there.
The rally had 130 there, so its quite a small one, and it was for Triumph Owners, so had a great time, looking at all the old Bonnyy's there, was a light hearted good time rally and was the same as the NZ rallies in set up, lots of booze, piss taking and singing dancing and shouting,
The venue was at a sports ground, so the facilities were fantastic.
Had oine mother fucker of a headache the next day, and was circulating the site saying goodbye which took 1.5 hours!! got lots of contacts and the dude that was doing the dicos gave me a bluegrass CD with bango's doing ACDC, so I put that in my car on the way home and laughed myself senseless
Am making plans to do a Swedish Rally in August next year and the week later there one in Denmark and they are huge, so stopping in Europe for about 9 days and ferrying there and back.........................There a group of about 30 trumpy guys and girls doing the trip so that should be fantastic.
Everytime I turned round and engaged in conversation though I expected to see my favourite KBer's and my heart was breaking over not seeing you guys at one stage, so had a few tears about it in a quiet corner towards the end of the night, and raised a glass to you Dudes every time I got a new pint, so you had a few cheers off me.
So trotted off home, after making some brillliant new mates, and felt flat all the way home..............which is normal feeling after a good time rally eh.........
Very weird not seeing you guys there though!!!
Miss you all so much, its an unbelievable hole I have in my heart nowadays..........but the happy smile is painted ontop.
120 days till I am back in NZ again, so see you guys at Friday Night Hokitika, jumping on IDB's bike for that, and see you all the following week at the Vincent. Fuk I cant wait
Love and Hugs to all, didn't take too many photos but will attache them in a couple of days.
