Northbound all 3 lanes. Had a problem getting the truck up there at all. Very slippery.

Thanks for the heads up. Ive been back commuting on the bike for the last week & enjoying it even though it has been wet & a little slippery. It could be fun tonight.

It must be a goodie! My darling wife left my work @ 3.00pm & Ive just spoken to her & she has not made the interchange yet! Just about a stand still.
Be careful people.

Just heard the report on the news - Expect considerable delays - cops hope it to be cleared up and all lanes open by rush hour...

I rode home about half an hour ago.
No traffic, grit on the road but easily rideable.

It took me one-and-a-half hours to drive home tonight (usually 6km). The gridlock was phenomenal. I could have walked it more quickly.

Took me just over an hour (caged) from City to Akatarawa, usually 35 or so minutes. Wished I'd taken the Duc to work! Was watchin all the pretty bikes whizz past.

My trip was about 40 mins on the bike. It was gridlocked from Adelaide Rd.
Was a slow ride, but a least I was moving. Must have been a huge spill as the grit was everywhere. Got heaps of it stuck on the bike so it must be full of oil.

oh aye, went through it just after it happened in the truck. i wrote the post on the mobile while stopped at j'ville. i hit the diesel at about 70 kph. eventually made it up the hill. it was about as slippery as ice. lose momentum and die. if i had stopped i would have started going downhill with my wheels locked. unrideable on a bike for sure...
