Making a few changes to the new bike. I loved everything about my old one when I got it so didn't really do too much to it. The new one is more of a blank canvas. Didn't take a before pic and the bike is currently in bits but have posted one that sort of shows the rear end. Anyway, changes planned. 1. Side mount number plate. Have made up the bracket, picking up resized plate tomorrow. 2. Resite tail light and chop the rear guard. 3. New indicators mounted close to the guard instead of sticking out a mile. Have already changed seat to a solo. Guard will be back from getting the chop on Friday. Then will put it all together in time for ride on Saturday.

Rides good. Took me a while to get used to it but done 2500kms on her now and loving it. Putting new rubber mounts on this week which hopefully will fix the problem with the lean on the bars.

Am working on the bike today. Putting new bushes on. If you have the day off call round for a coffee. You can help me tweak my front end again and I'll show you my new rear lol.

Blank canvas??

It looks like a mint complete bike to me.
But I do think the guard is huge and no one keeps the standard indicators

Front end tweaked -again. New bushes seem to have solved the problem. Picked up the guard tonight so will be all back together in the morning. Will post pics tomorrow.

I like the look of your rear end girl :woohoo:

Have you picked a set of replacement indicators yet? The HD ones are as big as the small "loafs of bread" that came on my Honda originally (now stored in a box under the work bench, where they belong).

PS - have you got a plate light on it? Required by law and may be a stickler at WOF time. Someone on TM sells a nice tiny LED within a bolt set-up for plates.

No light on number plate. Wof not due til june next year. Will try then and if it doesn't pass will stick some LEDs on. I'm just sitting on the indicators at the moment. Put the short mounts on so at least they don't stick out so far. Moved the front ones from the bars to the forks which, I think, looks better. Might change them down the track. Just gotta try and get my head round it cos the HD ones are quite different to all the others. Will have to change the mounts.
Sorting out the speedo next. I reckon the new stock ones they have put on the superglides and sportsters are bloody horrible.

Certainly a difference to the rear. Is the plate legal?

Yeah, pretty sure it is. Just has to be clearly visible. Will cross that bridge if I get pulled up. Been riding 20 years and never been stopped on a bike yet.

Never been stopped or never bothered to stop?
Either way lucky you.
