Have to confess I'm more of a nana than i want to be. Doing a track day soon so will hopefully get a bit quicker through the corners. What sort of Harley you riding? The sporties are a bit nippier than the big blocks.

I prefer to keep my balls tucked away out of harms way ... perhaps I'm just a nana too ... ;)

The old Harleys don't handle well, but some of the new ones are great.
(built for comfort not for speed)

Hard out, (the balls stay outta harms way).
Ya scrapes off wot ya don't need. It's called clearancing.

It's a matter of being smart/skilled enough to operate the vehicle optimally within it's design and capability parameters - or choosing a suitable machine. :2thumbsup

It depends on the mood, the day, the weather, the traffic, the road, the alignment of the planets yadda yadda yadda

I just ride y'know?

Not both sides at once, you understand...(that would be a trick and a half!) but it's not hard to clip the rear footpeg mount on the left and the rear muffler on the right, especially on the Takaka Hill. Last time we flew over there was at night and the guy behind me reckons he got a great fireworks display.

My pics have all been taken away coz I speak my mind and tell the mods to suck my dick when I'm in the mood for a cyber-space blow job, but to answer your question; about 220-250kms depending on conditions and traffic.

It's a hungry beast compared to the Evo FXR I had before, I could go Auck-Taupo on a tank on that machine (probably 300-ish) but I have to say the Twin Cam has more torque and I do tend to use it. The W/g doesn't have a tacho either and I'm guessing it's revving higher. In fact I'd say that's a certainty, coz I thrash it a bit.

Could be lotsa reasons, I really don't care about gas consumption, or speeding tickets, or what the neighbours say/do or even what the weather is like. I adjust.

PM me your email and I'll trade pics that way if you like. I'm a sucker for a good blab about HD's.

Harley's aint for fast riding.....they are for crusiing (hence the style)....I save the fast rides for my GT-4. If you wanna ride fast a car is faster than a bike.

I've had a lot to do with fast cars but I think it depends on where you're gonna go fast.

One night a buddy and I pulled 7,500rpm in 4th gear in a twin-four-barrel carb'd 327ci Chevy-powered Ford coupe, no idea how fast we were going...

We decided things were getting silly.

Then we built a race car.

Is 7.6 at 175mph in a car on a quarter-mile track fast to you?

I thought 140mph on a motorcycle on a public road was fast (2-up) and decided (again) that things were getting silly.

Now I think things are getting silly at 100mph (160kph) so it's all about perception. I can lose my license at 100mph/160kph, so I rarely bother. I guess it's a case of 'been there, done that' but having built a beast that can pull 175mph in 7.6 secs I guess I've been spoilt. You get jaded but never lose the inclination to push the limits.

Having age on my side I'd suggest pushing the limits should be reserved for the track. You have all the rescue services there, no intersections and lotsa space.

Try counter steering if you are not using this already, you might find your cornering improves in terms of control

Went on a poker run yesterday and had a fantastic day. All the guys riding balls out. Me and another girl nanaing around at the back. Got ourselves lost b4 the first stop lol. Had an absolute ball. I almost wasn't gonna go cos I didn't want to make an arse of myself with my slow riding. But no one gave a shit. Awesome day, lots of laughs and a good ride as well.

No, it was a memorial one. Run by the guys from the Mak pub. When is the jokers one do you know? Would be keen to do it.
