I have been using the attached image tire for mainly commuting and I was planning on taking it for a blat this weekend to actually use some of the sides.

Until I noticed this tiny patch that has delaminated.

Would it last a decent ride or is it too poked?

Bald as, not safe.

With no absorbing layer or rubber, if you run over somnething sharp, it may well pop and you will be in trouble.

My vote says: Don't risk it.

The fact that you posted on here means you are already concerned.

Looks gone to me. Change it I say. Ask yourself if you are worth the cost of new rubber?

The steel is not even showing through.....like the tire that I replaced this one with was when I got my ticket for a dangerous tire....

I don't have a van or a trailer..... will ask in Cycletreads..... surely no one will mind a rolling burnout up the ramp?

Lol. Too poked.

I don't think it's delaminated though. When my rear tyre did that, it looked to me like it had a different sort of rubber beneath the tread. The steel isn't far away.

I went to the steel once on my old R6. Once you get that far through the rest starts to fall off pretty fast :eek5:

Go on your own so you don't screw up anyone else's day waiting for the trailer - or Ambulance.

Me too I went to the steel on the front on my 6. Not a good idea.... get a new one - not worth it.

If nothing else it'll be murder if it starts to rain... Replace it dude, it's not worth the risk.

Every time I've fitted new rubbber I've though 'why didn't I do this sooner'.
