Well the bike is finished and ready to go.
She's an 07 R1 and gets her first outing this weekend in round 1 of the AMCC club series. I've ridden it once in anger so practise on Sunday will be the first time for real in race trim, if she goes as good as I think she looks she'll be right :2thumbsup
I need to thank a few people for getting the bike to this stage.
Rob Taylor (CKT) thanks mate for building the suspension, fine tuning it and the advice and encouragement.
Shaun Harris (Moto Dynamix) suspension work, advise/encouragement and being a good mate.
Will Bennet (WIZ Racing) Sliders, bullshit and encouragement (old sponsor).
Billy (Autocycle Refinishers & Fibreglass) For untold hours to produce one of the best paint jobs I've ever seen and some of the best fitting Fibreglass I've come across, cheers mate.
Frosty for the cups of tea and helping to re-ignite the racing bug.
Cheers guys

Good luck for sunday mate. I'll be there cheering you on. Who'd have thought that after 10 years away from the racing you'd be back!! Maybe next year there'll be a veterans class. :oi-grr:
Looking forward to watching the 47yr old bones tackling a 2 yr old race prepped R1!!!

Once a racer always a racer, didn't take much fuel to re-ignite the fire I imagine:clap:

In fact mate your one of the main players in all this. If you hadn't gone and bought a sports bike and started asking bloody questions, I wouldn't have started answering them which wouldn't have started the juices flowing!!!!!!
You have alot to answer for young man ;)

Hi Glen, yeah it wasnt nice that for sure. All over by lunch time, the track was really slick. The drifters have really polished up Jennian to castol and once it started raining hard it started puddling in the usual places and started streaming across between the last left and the last onto the start finish straight.
