Hi guys have returned to NZ a few days ago and am doing a decent upgrade/rebuild on my bike next saturday
I want to replace my powervalve pulley cables (X4) while I have the motor out, I have the measurements for the cables and they are regular cables just like a throttle one, nipple at each end and am looking for a place on the North shore that can make these for me ? (on the spot ?)
(Preferably teflon coated)
Not sure about cycletreads/the dealerships as they have bigger fish to fry but I was wondering if a pushbike shop would be able to do decent ones ?
Will they have higher quality gear than used on a pushbike ?
If anyone else knows some local well priced other options Id love to know about them

I had autostop remake my throttle cable a while back give them a try, they may have to send them out of house though.

I had Holeshot get me some oem cables for my rgv, can't remember how much, but they weren't that expensive.

I would get premade ones but I am doing the rebuild on Saturday and I dont think they will be here in time if they have to be ordered in..
Am doing the whole rebuild in 1 day and want to get the cables in while the engine is out... will give holeshot a go but anyone else got any ideas ?

If you get stuck try the hotrod/custom shops they would have contacts regards having cables made is,you could try "Kendal racing"they still out on the shore(been alongtime since I Have been in that neck of the woods)

You can make 'em yourself, with practice, but if you haven't done some before it's probably not a great job to practice on.
Can get them made professionally by Melbar Cables in Naenae, (Hutt Valley).
Not going to be an "on the day" option but they're the only ones I know of left in the country with the gear to do an OE replacement job.

Still a whole heap of people doing cables in this country, just need to find them. I remade all the powervalve cables on my RGV, if you get stuck get in contact.

I recently had autostop in Hillcrest make me a new throttle cable inner. Cost was reasonable ($30 vs new assembly at $90+) and product is good (had to grind a little of the end to fit). Took them about two days as they send it to another branch to do.
