thats pretty bad, you should up your tire pressure

Already high enough.
Its the combination of a few things that wore the tyre out. Was surprised and impressed that I was able to chew through the tyre as fast as I did.

Good effort mate!
You could try 17" rims with 125gp slicks? Or play around with tyre pressure or slow down or stop doing massive Marco Melandri powerslides on a bucket.

What tyre pressures are you running?
That certinly looks excesive and I would be looking at other things like suspension, and linkage bushes etc.

You'll also find a lot of that rubber hanging off the edges isn't just yours, it'll be what you have picked up off the track that the kart guys leave behind.
How hot was it up there when that happened?

When my son was racing karts if he got lazy after a race a did bad lines on the warm down lap he would get heaps of old rubber on his tyres

it read 22 degrees when i started practice......it was hot enough to melt my slicks nice and slicky :woohoo:
your right, ive picked up ALOT of rubber from royshill and its melted into my tires, i suspect it the karters mixed with the supermotards are responsible .

The tyre is a TT900, 16in. Its on the rear of the DRZ125 I was running around on. So the suspension is the problem as its designed for some little kid, not someone my size! haha. My bro runs the same bike, though the green colour and he's not as heavy as what I am, and the wear on his tyre looked more like from my motard tyres were.
I wouldnt say that it was rubbish from the kart track either, its just wearing the tyres out from the heat and what I said above about the suspension.

It had 34psi in it. Thought it was too little as well. When your 6'5 and at 110kg on a 8 year olds bike with that sort of suspension, all you can do is have fun!

If you had stayed behind me where you should have been, instead of passing me like I was standing still you might still have a good tyre
:innocent:
