Poo ... wet feet bla bla bla.

No as bad as you could picture, went for a ride with my twin bro on his new Sherco 250 Trials bike me on Suzy, I struck a good snot hole and fed it the fat and promptly covered me and the bike with chocolate.

On the way back I dropped into the lake edge to wash off the heavy lumps, was in about 400 mm of water when she snuffed, hit starter and she started then died, again and again until I got to dry land then away she went.

I assume this is part of the carb vent breather issue and wondered what any of you water babies have done to avoid this?

Can it be re-routed up or does that create a lock and hence the same prob but on dry land?

Needs to be "T"eed for longer deeper crossings.

Yep, head to the hardware, or aquarium/petshop, and get some more lengths of plastic hose and those all important "Tee's".
Leave 15 - 20cms after the carb then fit the "Tee" so you can have "one up and one down" as it were!:2thumbsup:beer:

Cheers lads, thought it was as simple but it seemed too simple.

Got heap of tubes and tee's so no worries there, got a true kiwibloke manspace with all sorts of oddities and shite so most thing unusual you will find in there.

Some people wrap the ends of the top vents with foam to stop water mud etc from entering if theyre zip tyed to the top frame tube, or best is to run them into the airbox instead.
Final tip is to check that the end of the down vents are cut with a 3cm split back up the tubes, this also allows mud etc to fall out and not block as easily, but it also stops "sucking" up of liquid crud! This is often done as std on some bikes - not mine though!

Good tips, will cut a strip into it as I can see the good merits in that for sure and yeap I will fire the the top tube into the airbox as it will suck away any fuel vapours and smells too as well as kepping it cleaner.
