I got my entry all filled in and will get it sent tomorro(and for the posty GP). Only just got the bike back together today. I hope to get friday off work and do the test day at Manfeild. Camping at the track sounds a good plan Nigel:clap: and getting to track 3 for a blast on a chair is great fun. did that last year and it was cool

Who else will be camping at the track? Are there showers available? Dont want to be all stinky for the beer drinking(in moderation lol) after the GP

Hi all,
There is only 2 weeks to go until entries close for Round 1 of the Bike Rider Magazine Summer Series.
So get in quick, if you put in a late entry it will cost you extra and your sponsors names won't get in the program.
It is going to be an awesome weekend of motorcycle racing in Taupo, with the Post Classic GP on Saturday on the big track.
And then on Sunday the Sidecars on Track 3, and Round one of the Summer Series on Track 2.
Dunno about you guys, but I intend on going over very early on Saturday and Camp the night at the track 3 end.
If you are staying the night on Saturday come say hello and we can have a BBQ, Beer, and talk some bullshit.
Will be there camping at the old pits Nigel (unless the weather turns nasty) Entered in the bears at the posties event on the saturday as well so prolly head up fri !
Mrs and i are both having a go at hanging our arses off a sidechair (between races that is) on sunday !
Entries in, but made the mistake of ticking allthe rounds to save a couple of bucks, now i have to find the series entry and get that to ya by next week lol It'll happen !

Don't forget that Friday 23rd is a holiday in Napier so there won't be any post delivery.
Quite a few who have said their entry is on it's way haven't arrived.
So, if you have entered and haven't had a confirmation sent out, let me know.

Hey Nigel, would love to be there but Sat's incident has left the body a bit too battered. Fingers crossed I'm in better shape for round 2

How much is the late entry fee and what is the absolute latest that we can enter?

I couldn't find this information on the entry form

Am currently trying to procure clutch parts so won't know until later if I'll be able to make it or not.

Or am I able to enter this round today and then transfer my entry to a later round if I can't make it?

But of course i jumped the gun and sent my entry through weeks ago (got the email comfimation ya recieved it) Won't send another entry through with proof of payment, learnt my leason having been listed in mylaps twice for one meeting before lol, thinking of just bringing a printed copy of my account showing the payment on the day ? That work for you, or ya want me to print it and send it ahead with a cover letter ?

Yep you are cutting it fine.
But since it is a holiday weekend I will accept entries up til Tuesday afternoon with no penalty
But, tomorrow the programs are being printed so any one who wants their sponsors in print has to get me an entry form by 9:00am tomorrow.

Only one comment meant as a constructive comment...it would have been better IMO if we could have used the starting lights instead of the flags...I got pinged for a false start in the last race (10 sec penalty)...I thought the flag was being lowered but it just wavered a bit....never mind...them's the breaks I guess.:woohoo:

You jumped so much that I thought you might be breaking for turn one before any one else let their clutches out.
we had been cutting a bit of slack but yourself and Dobbs got a bit carried away that time.
I will look into using the lights next meeting if I can get some one to show me how

Did anybody get any shots of the KTL bikes from the weekend, I have to do my report and a few pic's take the mind off my bad spelling and typing.
Thanks to everybody who helped put the meeting on. You can't beat a good club meeting.
I'm not sure who's checking the jump starts, I've had none in 18 years then 2 in 3 meetings. I thought your reactions slowed down as you got older.

Its all good Rob....I have some onboard video footage so will have a look at that...I recall the flag 'appeared' to begin moving, then I realized it hadn't so it may have been flapping in the wind or it was wavered a little which I mistook for 'beginning its downward movement.' Anyway, I'm not too fussed, I road like arse in that race anyway as I was completely buggered by that stage of the day....off to the gym for me I think! :sweatdrop

You are right tho...I was VERY focused on the flag at the start and looking for any movement.

I'll have to come up with a new Evil plan as my last has been foiled!

All is good Nigel, you lot ran a great day as always and I completely enjoyed the day. The lights are a better option tho as there is no 'human factor' to take into account and as such no excuses from those of us who like to jump the start :Oops:. The video will be interesting to watch :-)
