Well you know something? I get Sparta, I get someone who speaks English as a second language is involved, but if you really want to know what people think, you should spell out what happened in "old fogie speak"

The guy objected to my riding around in an empty(ish) carpark. Just doing low speed stuff getting used to the bike. Only about 5 mins or so.
so i stop, park beside my dads car. take helmet off, see guy walking towards me, semi smiling.. looks like he wants to have a chat..
"that you making that noise"
me "Yeah, sorry"
*sparta kicks bike over, and fucks off back to his caravan*
Me  :shit: wtf? kinda froze up for a couple seconds...
Dont think i'll trust anyone walking towards my bikes ever again

Have number plate will sue. Tell the cops. If he's on holiday he'll be stuck here pending his case and then will STILL have to stump up all the late air fares to get back to Muther Russia.

He stayed around for about 10 mins, then buggered off. police turned up about 10 mins after that.
Gave the police details (rego etc), and witness details. They said should get a few quotes on repairs.
But that doesnt help the fact my new shiny bike un dropped (till now) bike is now scratched up.
will see how things pan out.
Oh and I don't see why so many KBers complain about the police, I've only met good ones so far.

Sorry, a little :Offtopic: but would everyone who is saying something along the lines of punching/hurting/injuring the guy actually do that or is that just what you'd all like to do?

I guess it depends on the situation.
If I'm incredibly fucked off about it - Air out of tyres and a stone or two at all glass panels from afar.
If I'm level headed about it - call the plod and give them as much info as you can, pray that justice still lurks this wretched planet.

There is a couple of answers really, what would you like to do?,and what would you do?
I'd probably want to do some damage to his campervan(assuming it's a rental)so he loses his bond,i.e small glass breakage, coin the door, all stuff he has to pay, because when you do it to his van you are not spotted.

True, but however the chances of the police actually doing anything past filling out a form I'd put at about 1%.

So you're insured, yes? And you called the cops. Reading between the lines a bit, obviously you sized up the situation and decided that getting aggro back was not the wisest thing to do. You did the right thing. Get your bike fixed up and your insurance company chases the dude up while you are off riding!

11th October 2009, 18:15
No guys violence is not the answer, beating the man up is not going to fix the bike. You should of talked to him and asked why he kicked the bike over, you can resolve the situation by communication. If you were to be violent and brutally injure the man how does that make you any better of a man?

Cops will hopefully do their jobs.
But there is a contingency plan.
no i couldnt do anything. I didnt even see him walk off, was staring in disbelief at my bike on the ground + then trying to pick it up, to do anything else.
I find It takes me awhile to react to situations like that. Generally my re action time is quite quick (whist riding, and drop a ruler and grab it (anyone do this at school?) etc)
just a mental freeze up

He went back to his campervan, My dad stopped him before he got in (his campervan) , was an inch away from "beating the crap out of him" (my dads words)
the guy said "call the cops then"
so my Dad did.. then he buggered off just after that.
The Ruler thing:
Get someone to hold a 30 cm ruler, between your thumb and index finger. they randomly drop it, and you have to catch it. the quicker you catch it and smaller the cm reading.. or something like that... some science thing we did at school many years ago
