Good Afternoon People
i was riding in tawa today and i heard a Pinging Sound i stoped and saw this item (as in photo) broken off, how would i fix this? or should i take one side of the fairing completely off? as per in photo is this safe riding without fairing?
would a washer fix this???
any help i would be thankful
(Edit! i was just thinking of kepting that side of the fairing off)

Not unsafe as such. But the fairing will 'rattle around' now, and longterm may crack somewhere else, or break off. Best find a way of stabilising it.

Harder etc? Is your ride capable of supersonic speeds? I don't think so.
Remove it by all means (and the other side too) but where you gonna 'hang' your confirminators?

KB thing...indicators. They are mounted on that bit of fairing, are they not?
And you want both side off, otherwise it'll look unbalanced and ugly.

Any racer will tell ya... When in doubt, cable tie it :) (or lockwire) Use your head and you'll find a way to tie it on.
You obviously bought a bike like this cause it looks 'racey' and you like the look. Best try keep the side fairings on IMO.
The lazy way would be to take it to a bike shop and im sure they can replace/weld that bit back on and affix your fairing again.
MSTRS: His indicators are mounted on the top fairing (see pic :P)

So they are. But the tip of that part of the fairing seems to be broken...I thought that was the problem bit...looks like it should mount to the frame. Don't mind me. As you were.

that was one of the problem i had before, but i was refering to the metal bit that hold the radiator and the fairings >< that bit snapped,
i didnt think of Cable ties. i can use that for the fairing i guess, but i was just more worred on the metal part, i guess i can see how much a weld would cost,
thanks for all your help

Hey mate. I live in Tawa, are you local too? You could always bowl round and I could have a look at it for ya. Would have to be after 4ish though as I'll be heading out soon. I'll prob go for a little pootle after that though!
