I actually had no idea about this until today but the bucket racing website says there is racing next weekend! Don't know how I managed to miss noticing that!

Who plans on turning up for it? I am keen to turn up for sure. I suppose because I am the one making the thread I should post this....:

Fun Day meeting with the Karts.
Full nylon required. Bikes will be scrutineered.
Track open 7:30am.
Scrutineering 8:30am.
Rider Briefing 9:30am.
Practice after briefing.
Entry $45.
Spectators free.

BRING IT ON

I'll see how I feel after the final VMCC round on sat! That and if I can be bothered getting spark on the bucket this week.

Next weekend is actually just a Kart day, so would be a fun day if you went out.
However, you can never have enough racing ay.

Ohh, how's the motor building going? I hope it is your motor. Remember the goal is 20+ hp ;)

I rebuilt mine for the weekend just gone, but it lost spark half a lap in, damn piece of electrical shit. :bash:

The weatherman for Wellington buckets says: RAINING LOTS AND LOTS ON SUNDAY AT KAITOKE!! BRING LIFE BOATS, WE WILL BE RACING THOSE AROUND THE TRACK TOO!!!!!

I am actually looking forward to having another crack at racing in the wet, although I am not all that practiced at it. I will still show up for sure. Do karters avoid racing in the rain? I am just thinking about more track time if there are fewer numbers of them haha

There usually are less karters turn up when it's wet, they're not as hard as us bikers (or is that insane as us.....)

I believe a new owner of a Loncin-powered machine will be riding out there....

OY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL!? So I turn up to race and NOBODY shows up! The karters were there, having a good laugh at the only biker to show up. The forms were ready for the bucketers to sign, only 1 name on the list... mine! So what happened? Woke up and had a cry because of a little rain? To think I was getting laughed at for not liking the rain so much.

Now I'm all amped to race but I can't! Look out at the next race meeting!!!!

That is a bit of a shame. A few people had said they were going to go.

The rain didn't scare me, my bike is still broken (that's my story anyways)

You could've gone out in a class all on your own, they run the karts class by class even if there's only two people in the class :Pokey:
Anyway, that is a bit suck for you, I thought at least a few people would've turned up for a go, I guess it's too soon after last weekend for most to have the urgent itch and Vic Club racing was yesterday for a few also.

Sorry Hammish felt stuffed today and pulled out. I have been in the same position as you by turning up and no one else except Brock. Hope to be there next month. Will be watching out for you you were riding very well last week.

Now that my bucket is mostly sweet to just take out and ride (still needs a few tidy ups for sure!) I am dead keen on turning up to every meeting. Enjoying getting faster each time with very minimal crashing. Good to have people like yourself to really push me, will be sure to make cleaner passes next time (I am going to push really hard to try keep up again anyway)

Was amped as for today! I will be at the next fun day with karts (on the 15th I think) and will be bringing twice the aggression!!

Just make sure you don't kill it before the 2 hour race, Hamish !!
