should say it stamped on the side, prob next to some japanese characters, but just pur it in to it comes up to the right point on the dipstick!! then run it for a short while check again....

ZXR is 2.6L (with a new filter) without a new filter I think it would be about 2.4L so It would be around that area, just make sure you look at the oil window when your filling and you will be fine.

on the side by the 710 cap there's 3 amounts on a sticker. Can't remember what order it is,
but the lowest volume is the oil change without changing the oil filter,
the second is the oil with an oil filter change,
and the highest volume is the engine rebuilt (dry).
Depending on what you're doing (usually oil and filter, so second amount), go with that..

Its 2.2 litres with an oil change only, 2.4l with an oil AND filter change and 2.7L if you take the engine apart.

Should have a dipstick so you can really use that.

There is no number on the side of the engine, there is no window, I'm changing the filter, and I was going to keep on going till it was at the right level on the dip stick, but I thought it would be easier to ask and not fill it too much and having to bleed it dry again

Erm... cant say thats a good idea. Put some wetter water in it I think its red dont know exactly.

But racing on plain water. thats looking for some boilling action imo..

It's part of the regulations. You must replace the coolant with non-glycol coolant or water. Since it's only going to be for the day, maybe the race season, we're settling for water. We will replace it back to the glycol coolant to stop all the aluminium parts rusting

Thats ok, I realise its regulation just those CBR's they cook eggs on the head blocks so just so you know the risk, why dont you go pick up some of that cheap race coolant you know the "non-glycol coolant" its abit pricy but if you start boiling and cook your radiator or sumin then the race is over, and you havto fix your road bike.

Its not my business have fun and what not, I'd be to scared to use just water.
