i dont see why not, the heat shouldnt twist the frame, just make sure you dont get any galv in places like the steering head or in to any threads, and dont let the apes that work at the hot dippers drill fuckn holes everywere.

Hot Dipping is exactly that - hot! It is possible that it may warp the frame a bit as the metal is fairly thin wall - ie they are nowhere as heavyweight as say a trailer frame.
Call your local to discuss. Also ask if it is actually possible to mask areas - steering bearings area etc. Usually for holes and threads you need to re-drill/thread.
Post up what they say.

Im not aware of it being possible to hot dip galvanise anything blue ....
Theres also electrogalvanising ...which is not hot dipping...
OR
I would suggest powdercoating.

I'd powder coat it. Gal will add alot to the weight.

yeah don't they have to drill holes in any enclosed tubes so they don't expand etc in the heat? sound's like a bad idea. galv is messy as, real thick and lumpy. Go for the electroplating or just paint it

Very true - about 7% increase in weight.Galv will also rub away to the steel where there is friction involved -moto x boots rubbing on frame near pegs. And if there are any Ali or other metals to be bolted to frame(bearing cases, motor & trans etc) there is the risk of electrolytic corrosion happening(especially if you took the bike near seawater)
Powder coating would be my suggestion.
There are also some very durable lacquers out there,
but whether powder coating is compatible with them
is another matter.Ask some people who deal with it on an everyday basis.

i would never do powder coating again both times i have done it to bike frames it has cracked and peeled off due to the stress and flexing in the frame came off in large chunks. Get it painted proberly and have them use a flexing agent in the paint way better and better range of colours
