Sorry Bren, a mate and I are doing the short block again (opposite way this time) for shit and giggles again.
Last week we got to see snow and lots of grit because of the snow that blocked the Lewis Pass on Friday.

By the way there were road works on the Arthurs Pass, so keep an eye out for them if you go to Greymouth Street racing next weekend.
I will let you know if they are gone.

Have a good ride.
I think we may get a bit wet this time.

Have fun you guys! Akaroa is not for me I'm afraid, not enough experience as yet!
Will have to settle for a pottle about town since everyone else has buggered off!

Good call Donna. I avoid the Akaroa GP like the plague at the weekend. I'll do it slowly with you one weekday when you're ready, if you like.

Just got back from lunch over there. The few bikers on the hill were really well behaved.

As it turns out Bren and I were the only ones to show up (although I wasn't doing the Akaroa ride) so when Bren decided since the weather was so bad that we would do the Dyers Pass into Governers Bay, through Lyttleton and to Sumner via the Evans pass, I was in! Not a bad ride all in all. Weather wasn't particulary great but the roads were quieter.

I can now add the 2 passes onto the list as well as a hill start, please Bren don't make me do that again!!

Thank you for keeping an eye on me today, can't have been too much fun babysitting me! :baby:

Maybe on the weekend I see your point. But you will never learn if ya don't go places. Take ya time ,take some company, and hav a few stops. In 1500km Rumgirl has done so far -- spent hours going round workyard stopping and starting, cones, evasion, emerg stopping, small trips round town ,2 runs akaroa and harbour via sumner, and trip to balcutha for a rally. She's still on learners at the moment, And up too 2 months ago only been pillion.
experience everything ya can.
