Beware the junk scabbers

Not trying to teach anyone how to suck eggs but just keep an eye out for the scabbers who sift through your junk that's left by the side of the road for the inorganic collections.

Now, we all know that these people are more concerned with your junk rather than driving their fucking trucks, vans and cars, examples being:

1 - they dont indicate
2 - they stop without warning, sometimes their brake lights are working
3 - U turn
4 - usually have small kids with them who jump out into the road
5 - bascially dont care for any other bikers or drivers

The old one of leaving shit in the kerb is still going on, so we all know about keeping well away.

But, I have just had a call from my mate who was out in the car, he went to pass one of these trucks that had pulled over and the guy with the junk threw an old kids bike up into the truck. Trouble was, it missed and landed in the road right on front of my mate giving him a right jolt.

I wont bore you with his reaction, more to the point keep your mince pies wide open when you pass these guys as they do throw the shit around. My road has been jammed with them all day, more than last year anyways and they are quite agressive.

Just a 'keep an eye out while riding' topic really. It's the people picking through the rubbish and slinging it into their trucks, they may miss and sling the gear into the road by mistake.

A kids bike landing infront of a motorcycle wouldn't be much fun.

The council around my way no longer leave the stuff out on the street. You get 2 days notice and then it's gone.

If you miss the notice, you miss the collection.

In a round about way yes....mind you, a handfull of curlers from the well formed arm of an elderley lady can cause some right havoc if it gets you in the right spot, a real two n eight that will get you in...

And dont get me started about the Badd Ass Mintie Sukkas street gang who own the hood around here, they are fecking lethal mate

Ive had that happen to me years ago, a bike fell off a ute ahead of me, nowhere to escape the ol GSX1100 E I had back then minced it

Any lighter or more sport oriented ride (eg fairing skirts) might not have been able to survive the whole crushing a mountainbike sorta action....

Bless them heavy old grey Suzuki's from the 80's they were fucking legendary
