Well the final round dawned upon us and I was ready to try my luck again on the 600.
Qualifying F2:
I wentout on the sv and was really just trying to come to grips with everything as best I could and the bike needs a few adjustments done like the fork sealas and spring weightsneed changing so I rode it to the best I could and actually felt like I had a really good session with a 29th position grid placing so I actually qualfed this round and got down to 1:19 which was my personal best from last round
Qualifying pro twin:
I went out and was trying to ride the sv but I couldnt ride it properly I was not comfortbale after riding the 600 on it couldnt get into it so I managed 18th place which is my best all season I think on the grid.
600 Race 1:
I got the most shocking start ever almost stalling on the line and then wheel standing off made it into turn 1 and tryed to keep up and was really getting loose on the 600 so I relaxed a bit and just concentrated on being smooth and consistent with my riding and ended up catching up to Scott Taylor on the GSXR I was losing ground through the left hander and splash were I was sturggling with the front end grip it would slide and pater about. This race ended up being red flagged and I finished 29th with a 1:17 so I beat my persnal best time.
Pro Twins race 1:
Got a pretty terrible start and was right down the field luckily the race was red flagged and I got a full restart and this time got a much better launch and ended up having a pretty good ride I couldnt get into it tho the bike just wasnt right.
600 race 2:
A good launch this time but somewere at about 13000 rpm it hit a flat spot and the bike just stopped on me then launched again got into turn 1 and chased down a few people and ended up in a battle with Scott on his GSXR finally I decided to make a move down into turn 1 on the brakes i tipped in miles to soon and clipped the white line nearly causing me to tuck the front endi made it stick and I knew scott was alot faster around the bends than me so was wiaiting for a come back but unfortonatly his bike is standered so you cant even hear were he is on track! we ended up in a real good dice and I pulled a gap over him but he got me again and I started tiring out I think it was lap 5 I came out of turn 1 fed it the gas and it just squatted and spun the arse end up and just slid my whole way round the bend was pretty fun apparently I was sideways pretty much every part of the track and scott said braking into higgens my rear wheel would leave the ground! we had a good dice tho and I was real knackered and knew I couldnt last the last lap and scott was right beside me but the race was red flagged so I got him and I amanged another 17 so Im pretty happy with my results for the year
Thanks to all involved and a big thanks to Richard Schollem (Spelling) for all his help all weekend
