Hi, for those that dont know me im a young boatbuilder, I left nz 18 months ago and lived in Sydney for a while, dubai briefly (got the hell outa there) then back in Sydney... I was about to head to Europe but with the way my industry is and winter coming, I decided to blow my money on my bike and enjoy it for summer instead...

Ive been back 2 weeks and have orchestrated a massive overhaul with alot of elements coming together to get the final result,
I hired out a mates workshop and we did a top end rebuild on it.. the 2nd Ive done on this bike, but the first time ive dropped the engine..
We got it back in the same day and started the next...
All my mechanical knowledge has been learned from owning 3 2 stroke bikes..
All the carbon work on the bike is mine, all done during my apprentiship and is relatively rough in my books, Next time I come back from over seas I plan on doing this bike properly, carbon fairings and tank, maybe even wheels but I want to build a 500 too.
Everybody told me to sell my bike... I put it in storage and 18months later, I had it to come back to.. just like everyone told me not to take my toolbox overseas... You cant trust nobody

For now im just going to add braided brake lines all round.. Id like to mirror polish the frame and swingarm but it means taking a hell of a lot apart... Im just gonna ride it... I also want to repaint this with an RSV factory paintjob..
Must stop spending..
Just put the pipes on this morning and they fucking rip !!!

The Mods to this bike Include..

Top end rebuild (new pistons etc)
Billeted centred powervalves
Roose motorsport coolant hoses
Carbon everywhere made by me
Jim Lomas exhaust pipes
Has been repainted by me and stickers designed several times (crashes)
Gold Anodized standard forks, Ktech springs and revalved all held together by Ti bolts!
Custom CNC'd Triple Clamp
Rim Stickers
Front headlight conversion
The list goes on
Sooo much work has gone into this bike, its my only form of transport

Whats Carbon ? The Seat surround fairing, rear mudguard, front mudguard, the headlight fairing, around the dash, fairing above the dash
Fairing behind the front wheel.. As well as a bunch of other little washers and pipes etc
The silencers are carbon kevlar

Shows me picking it up from storage, stripping it down, my new front end arrived, engine in, and engine out !

Get rid of the oil pump, run it on pre mix or it aint a proper two smoker. It aint a proper two smoker either if you dont ride round witha plug spanner in your boots. haha

I disagree, most owners think the oil pump should be left as is as its very reliable and gets the oil exactly where it wants to go, sure you could lean it out and save weight with premix, but A) its annoying premixing and B) Would you wanna carry a bottle of oil everytime you go for a decent ride !?

Ive shed alot of weight getting rid of the pillion footpeg hangers and the new exhausts are the biggest weight saving but I carry enough tools to do a top end on the side of the road and an almighty disc lock too !
From now on I think I just want Braided lines, Clip Ons, Gold Levers and try save a bit more weight here and there I guess
Remember its my only form of transport !

very best . Make must pole from exhaust. Exhaust breaked no pole. Pole go far seat run exhaust.
No bad eyes, from people so like.

Terrific work, Jade! :niceone:
Honestly, I don't think you need to mirror polish the frame - it looks great as is. It's a shame (IMHO) the mufflers are such a weird colour though.

Yeah, I was tempted to play with my pole too after seeing the photos.

Some good bike porn right there. I'm looking to do something similar with an MC21 NSR250 (SE if I can get one) next year.
