I could've been rod, rodders, rodney, rodney district council, jed, jedder, jazz, jazzy, JD, Mozzarella or any number of n.names you turkeys keep coming up with. I've only just come to grips with Orla Magee calling me Jarry... that has had a 3 year lifespan in itself!!, now the 2 foot talking egg beater I call my daughter has started callling me Jarind.
Figured it was easier to keep it simple.

a couple of points you need an r6 to be a masscot with an r1 we will let you hang out with the cool kids but you really need to shed 400cc's to be in the club. is that why you only go to taupo when it has the long straight?:Playnice:

I know I was tagging on the back of the lines guy, but I pretty sure we lapped you twice last time we were out.... and yes the little fat rod does like track one because it has a long straight, same as puke... I believe Hamptons has a few too... do yous fullas need a tow aye???

What's the deal with camping in the old pits? During the winter I've been driving down in the mornings, but now with the earlier start, I think I'd better head down the evening before. I'm thinking about sleeping in my van but not sure where to park up. I think there's one free camp ground up the road from Taupo a bit, but other than that I'm not sure. Or maybe I'll just go to a cheap motel/backpackers.

It's the old pits for track 3 and there's a toilet block thats unlocked with an abundance of tree clad grass areas we're allowed to camp at !

waa, I've got another cold! I missed the last MotoTT track day because of a cold. On monday my boss came into the office from his trip to singapore, coughing all over the place, on tuesday evening I was sick too. I hate it when people cough with complete disregard of other's health.
Hopefully I'll be feeling ok enough to come anyway. The forecast is looking good.

That was awesome! :)
I'm not totally over my cold, but it didn't affect me too much on track. The GPRa10's are good.
I particularly enjoyed the last session (combined groups 1 and 2). Here's some video from it (basically the whole session minus a few laps where I was by myself at the start):

Was another great day run by MotoTT!! :niceone:
Having the likes of Craig Shirriffs, Glen Willams on the track with you is pretty cool! Mr Shirriffs passed me about 400 to 500 meters before the first turn off of the back straight and proceeded to drift it in! It looked pretty chur! How often do you get that close to the action! :niceone:

Much thanks to Sue for allowing us in at the end and to the rest of the field for tolerating us barging in on your track day!
For most of us it was the first time out on the track and i must say there was a couple of "slightly" nervous riders amoung us, me included... but once that first lap was done I was all "This is Freaken O for Orsome!!"
Will be back for more!!

awesome day, despite the flu that I got just in time for the double track day, on Friday. Not even the sauna helped: I was sweating like a rapist under the gear, but nothing adrenaline could not fix...
Added challenge in the shape of much narrower line (in places maybe half a meter), due the the oil spills. But luckily, extraordinary scrubbing by motoTT crew helped, and by midday it was all but gone, and track was back to its usual glory.
Absolutely awesome! The grippy patch through the turn 9 removed the psycho barrier in my head, and seconds were shaved off during the double-trackday weekend.
In for the 5th Dec! Still some work left to reach Sloan's 1.30 lap record...
